3 of us stayed in the 1000 Islands suite for one night. I can't begin to describe the absolute beauty of this renovated historic building in downtown Kingston. It was beyond our expectations. Our host during our stay, Sean, went well above and beyond. His relaxed style made us feel so incredibly comfortable and welcome. Even if you decide to not stay in this exquisite place, do yourself a favour and arrange for a tour. You won't be disappointed. I'll be going back.
I can’t rave enough about this hotel. Situated in one of the most beautiful buildings in historic Kingston, it has been painstakingly and lovingly restored over the last two years by the new ownership team. Not a single expense has been spared. The rooms are spacious and equipped with every modern luxury while still being true to the original historic style. The staff and managing partner Sean are friendly and extremely attentive. Sean will even provide a tour of the building with a side of local history. They deserve all of the accolades that they are receiving. Brunch on both days was exquisite. As a regular visitor to Kingston and former “local” I always felt that Kingston needed a truly first class hotel and this place has surpassed my highest expectations. “Four Seasons” quality in Kingston. …
We have yet to stay here, but we will based on our experience dining at this jewel tonight. And we live in Kingston. Until this evening, we thought the finest cocktails we ever enjoyed were served at The Lantern’s Keep at the Iroquois Hotel on 44th Street in NYC. No longer. The Frontenac Club is at the top of our list. The cocktails were sublime, and the cuisine, service, and ambience were EXEMPLARY. This place is a gift. We are now booking a staycation for the full effect.
I traveled to Kingston to escape routine and celebrate my birthday with my husband - we spent one night at the Frontenac Club and it was spectacular. We enjoyed cocktails and snacks in the bar (the shrimp was delicious and our bartender let us sample a few different concoctions). Afterwards we finished our wine outside on the outdoor terrace warmed by a modern fire pit. A perfect outdoor gathering spot for guests. The room was beautiful and featured a private outdoor patio (book the St. Lawrence Suite!). In warmer months it would be a lovely spot to unwind before or after dinner, or for morning coffee. The bathroom is stunning - beautifully appointed, large tub and walk in shower - tastefully decorated and premium bath/shower products. Luxurious robes and towels, really nice. Our breakfast was delicious and we were provided with a choice of a few options. Probably the best part of our getaway was the staff - everyone was so friendly and accommodating, and took great care with safety and cleaning protocols in a very natural, relaxing manner. It's a place you can linger and enjoy and not feel rushed. Perfect for a quick getaway, and to celebrate a special occasion (or just any day at all). It would also be a great spot for a corporate retreat, to treat staff or customers. The Club location is only a few short blocks from Kingston's vibrant downtown - shops, restaurants and pubs. Thanks to Sean, Nancy and team for making the Club such a special place to visit. We'll be back!…
After our original accommodations fell through we decided to try a room at The Frontenac. When I called the hotel to inquire about availability the owner Sean suggested we come by for a tour. Needless to say we were impressed with not only the property but the personal service Sean shows his guests. The hotel itself is beautiful. Our room, the Mackenzie-King was spacious yet cozy and tastefully decorated. The included breakfast was above and beyond what we expected and the rooftop patio was a beautiful place to relax. We loved our experience so much we have already booked another stay!
