Clean and friendly. Can't think of anywhere else you will get two Eggs Benny with homefries for under $10.00. Balcony was a bonus. Can count on one hand the number of hotels in Kingston with a balcony.
pool and whirl pool was very nice /restaurant was a little pricey .breakfast not include .lot of signage to attest to that fact. very clean room skip the dishes and other services available with easy access to lobby .
Our stay started out with 2 towels, 1 shampoo, 1 bar soap, 1 toilet paper roll, given to us from the front desk, we understand that its a pandemic going on, So later that night, Time for bed, Open the bedding up to find a pair of socks in our bed. I scrubbed the bed down a bit, So that means they didn't even change the sheets before we came. Complained the next day, But no rooms were available for us to switch to. Looking around the room it was dirty, The balcony had trees growing on it, The light was smashed, The walls outside were crumbling everywhere around the property. We stayed here many times over the yrs, Like 5 times a yr, for 2 or 3 nights at a time. I called to complain, But they offered me the standard 2500 points, NOW GO AWAY. And never heard back from them again. So people stay away from this crumbling hotel. If you go there look outside around the building That will tell you. NEVER AGAIN.…
This hotel struck my brother and me as a hidden gem. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the hotel is well-maintained, our room was clean and comfortable and the recreation facilities are superior: a clean, warm pool; a clean, comforting hot tub; and a clean, hot sauna. Considering the reasonable price, we agree that this hotel is an excellent value.
We have stayed at this hotel as a family for over 20 years, usually at least twice per year. We have always enjoyed staying here and have been loyal guests at both the hotel and restaurant. Unfortunately our experience this month was far from pleasant. We stayed two nights as a “safe Covid-19 getaway”, and I unfortunately woke after the first night feeling itchy. I didn’t think anything of it until after the second night I awoke covered in bedbug bites! At the time it never dawned on me that this was bedbugs, so I didn’t inspect the mattress. I had the bites inspected by both a family doctor and a dermatologist, both of whom advised me that they were bedbug bites. I ended up on a high dose steroid cream, and literally didn’t sleep for a week with the intense itch. When I approached Janise at the hotel about being refunded for our stay she advised they would have pest control check the room first. Five days later she called back to say that since pest control didn’t see any bugs on the mattress that she would reimburse us for one night only and that she was being “more than generous”. She also advised that pest control reviewed my photos and also agreed the bites most resembled bedbugs. I advised her that we had spent $187 to have pest control search our own home (no bedbugs in our home), $250 for our two-night stay, and that in good faith she could at least reimburse us for the cost of our stay. Again, she refused. In hindsight, for all the times we had stayed there in the past, our room was probably the least clean than it has ever been. There were stains on the couch pillow, so my husband flipped the pillows to the opposite side (to find more stains), the floor wasn't clean - I picked up part pieces of crayons under the coffee table, the office chair was missing a wheel as well. Our family will never be back to Kingston Travelodge ever again. We have been so loyal to this hotel and I still can’t believe that this is the customer service response we get in return. Such a disappointing experience.…
