Great place to stay. Great location if you want to park the car and walk around. Close to boutiques, restaurants and spa. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Walking distance to ferry to Wolf Island. Will come again.
Fantastic location and great staff. Nice view from the room. The rooms are abit outdated but would stay again .With Covid they do not clean your room but if you needed anything the staff were very helpful
Some of the reviews we read we kinda negative but we found the place to be quite comfortable. The hotel is older than some, but it is in an excellent location right on the Kingston waterfront. The Island Princess tour boat is a stones throw away and all kinds of restaurants close by within walking distance. The room was showing it's age a wee bit but it was clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit soft ,as we like the mattress hard ,but that's a matter of choice and we made out fine. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived a 1PM and the room we had booked was not ready but they upgraded us to a better one which was ready at no extra cost. Parking is $20.00 per night underground, and we were there 3 nights but they only charged us for 1 night parking. All in all, I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.…
The bathroom in my room was disgusting!! there was mold all around the toilet bowl, looked like it haden't been cleaned in months.. the sink wouldn't drain properly and the coffee machine didn't work.. as well as brown stains in the bathroom and in the room that looked like fecal matter. I asked for another room but was refused, they also wouldn't come in and clean my bathroom. Front desk was really rude about it. I would never stay here again.
So pay for underground parking, leave today for a few hours, get buzzed in on return to hotel. Find there are no parking spots. See the front desk guy and ask, what do we do we paid for it. He says I'll take it off your bill, parking on the street is free....if you can find it. See him go to his car, think he is just getting an item from trunk. We go across to the public lot, Nada, zero spots. Then we see the front desk guy and he parks his car. We end up two blocks away so, we go in and ask how many spots they have and why do they keep giving them out once paid for. Somewhat of a smug tone reply that they don't guarantee parking. I ask why he didn't tell me he was moving when be knew I was looking for a spot, his reply was the best...... said he promised it to another guest!!! WTF!! His reply and attitude set us off. He had buzzed another guest in even though he knew it was full. Was telling the people checking in they could try for the underground parking but it might be full. Wondering why when you pay for two nights you can't get a spot assured.…
