My boyfriend and I had a weekend stay-cation at The Rosemount Inn (Nov 20,2020). The processes that were followed by the owners and the team at the Inn made us feel welcome whilst also keeping us safe. The breakfast box that is delivered to you in the morning (contact less) was awesome. The first morning the box included a spiced pumpkin loaf and the second morning was a banana bread muffin. Kudos to the in-house chef as they were both INCREDIBLE. If we needed anything for our room the team were only a text away. I would recommend The Rosemount Inn 100 times over as we felt our safety and enjoyment were the highest priority. Although everything was kept contact less when you did see team members in the hallway they were very friendly and caring. Thank you again to The Rosemount Inn Team for making our weekend amazing.…
Lovely location in a lovely clean building . Unfortunately, due to COVID the only room you will be in is your room, as all common areas and the breakfast area are closed. No TV in room ( had expected this so NP) and internet service good. Very disappointed with the 1 star breakfast, which was left at your room door. Box with a poor tasting piece of cold loaf w/o butter and a very small amount of fruit and a random small piece of cheese. Even with COVID more thought could have been put into this, especially since it is a B&B and we are already missing out on so much of what a B&B is all about.
The owners did a fantastic job of making us feel safe and welcome during the time of COVID-19. We stayed one night and did not see anyone during our stay though we know there were others staying here. The room was immaculately clean and had been updated with a more modern feel. Check-in was completely contactless as was check-out, but the owners had little touches and extras that made our stay very inviting. Having a lovely breakfast box with juice, croissants and very delicious fresh fruits waiting for us outside our door was definitely appreciated. We are looking forward to our next visit!
We stayed here for our honeymoon at the end of August 2020. I was immediately impressed by the exterior and interior beauty and history of this building. We stayed in room #9. It was a pretty, but simple room (no TV or microwave; small fridge and coffee machine available). The bed was fairly comfortable - but is a firmer mattress . We also found it warm at night (each room does not have its own controls); but the staff was more than accommodating to turn down the temp at night. My husband also said that the staff texted him each day to check in, and to see if we needed anything as there is no "front desk" at the Inn like you would typically find at a hotel. Due to COVID, we were provided a simple boxed breakfast every morning (delivered to our room) which typically consisted of a pastry, fruit, and juice. It would have been nice to have experienced the actual breakfast option as the restaurant looked beautiful (at least, it did from what I could see from the front window!). Parking is very limited and angled, so we chose to bring our car vs truck. I understand that street parking was also available - luckily we got a spot every night! The Inn is located within a 5 min walk from downtown, so we typically walked everywhere vs driving! We stayed at the Inn for 3 nights and it was a nice experience. Based on COVID-19, I'm not sure we got the same value for the price we paid, vs a non-COVID stay, but would recommend this to anyone looking for a 1-2 night getaway/experience.…
If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay in Kingston, with well thought out Covid protocols, stay at The Rosemount Inn. We spent three days at the Rosemount celebrating a milestone anniversary. The Premium King was as described. The bed was very comfortable, and the daily boxed continental breakfast served to our door each morning was a perfect way to start the day. The grounds were lovely, which included a large porch where you could enjoy a book and a glass of wine. The Inn was perfectly close to the downtown core and within walking distance to restaurant, bars and the waterfront. Thank you Matt and Lucy for an enjoyable stay.
