I booked the hotel for new year eve. Hotel has there own parking for which they charge $20 and they don’t have any security for your vehicle. Somebody broke the glass of my car and they did not have any surveillance cameras to put as proof to police or insurance company. I went to the front desk, they said they know it happened but they were not bothered to inform me and Since it was new year everything was closed, I could not drive back home which cost me three extra nights with my child. The hotel management was not even courteous to look after the incident or offer a stay or refund my stay. They did not acknowledge anything. The people who works at front desk, don’t even know about the hotel policies and are so arrogant. I asked for a manager but nobody was available and did not get back to me ever. I highly recommend not to book this property if you want to enjoy your stay.…
We stayed here in the middle of COVID for a “staycation” and it was wonderful. Clean, friendly and clear on expectations for when in common areas etc. The pool was available by appointment if you wanted to use it, we didn’t but, it was nice to know we could safely.
Stayed at this hotel in July for a staycation. We paid extra for a room with a balcony to enjoy the awesome view. It was disgusting! The balcony was beyond filthy. We called the front desk and someone came up with a vacuum to get rid of the mess. She was able to get rid of some of it but the balcony was unusable. We were very disappointed. It was clear the balcony hadn’t been cleaned in months. How does this meet the standards set for Covid? I called twice to speak to the manager and was told both times he would look into and get back to me. He never did. The room itself was dirty as well. Fortunately we brought Lysol wipes and were able to clean it ourselves. But in the evening we did find spiders in the corners of our room. We normally stay at the Holiday Inn but we they were booked. We should not have bothered to stay here! We checked out after one night! …
Great location - downtown, near the water. Lots of great restaurants, bars, and historical attractions in immediate vicinity. Walking distance to Queen's. I was happy with the hotel. I ended up coming very early - 8:30 am - and they gave me my room. Because of covid the service level was dialed back - but they offered access to their pool and gym on request. The room had a microwave & fridge. The tv had direct access to netfix & prime (provided you had an account). The bathroom was quite large. My room faced the church on King St. and i could hear the church bells chiming every 15 minutes. Hotel is not as upscale as the Delta but, unless you are planning on eating & spending extended time at the hotel, this is a better deal for the cost.
My wife and I spent one night here recently. We paid $339/night for a junior suite. (Total bill was $428.39 including parking, breakfast and all of the taxes.) If that was a suite, I would hate to see the size of a regular room. Our room was dated and ratty; poor quality furniture, bed was way too soft, bathroom was very small. The only good thing that I can say about the place was that it is close to downtown. That said, we found a Holiday Inn and a Delta hotel that were right on the water. Next time we're in Kingston, we will check out one of those places instead.
