Pros: - Microwave and mini fridge in room - Large flat screen TV with Bell box - Friendly staff Cons: - Outdated - We booked a queen room and was placed in a double. - Mattress was terribly firm, woke up barely able to move. - Awkward room layout. We were frequently moving things around to get to other things. - Bathroom was tiny. - There were two rolls of toilet paper but only about 1/3 full each. 1. This is not enough for multiple people for a two night stay and 2. If they weren’t new rolls does this mean they were from the last people who stayed in the room? This is very unsanitary in general not to mention how unsanitary it is under covid conditions. - Shower soap holder had product build up on it. Don’t think it was cleaned. - The morning we left as I removed the last clean towel from the shelf they were sitting on, underneath were multiple hairs and dust. Did not appear to be hairs from someone’s head. This was definitely not cleaned. - The heat/AC floor unit still decided to come on when we had it completely turned off. - We were told the pool would be unavailable. It opened only a few days later. Would have been nice to re-advised. …
Stayed 5 nights traveling on business to Kingston and was looking for a decent hotel near the place I had to work. I picked up the Ambassador Hotel and it was an ok decision. Unfortunately no food, no kitchen at this property because of the COVID situ, however near by many fast food and normal restaurants. They have microwave, K cup coffee machine and fridge in the room. You have to change your own towels and take out your garbage, no housekeeping at this time. The staff I met was friendly and helpful. Can recommend for your next stay in Kingston.
The staff were all great and the highlight of the stay. We enjoyed the hot tubs and pool area, but it wasn't open during the day (weeknight stay, not sure if weekends are different). The room was fairly plain but clean and comfortable. The Air Conditioner/Heater unit was under the window and turned on and off throughout the night and was fairly noisy. Our TV didn't work (the message on the screen was "no signal") and we called down to the front desk, and almost immediately housekeeping showed up, but she was not a technician and didn't know what to do any more than we did (she was lovely, however!) . We were offered to change rooms, but we decided to just stay, and were offered a discount off our room (we didn't have to ask) so I was happy with this resolution. We would stay here again, but I would double check the pool hours before committing. We chose the Ambassador over other, less expensive, options due to the pool, and only being able to use it in the evening (when we had planned to go out for a nice meal) was disappointing.…
Booked a room with a jacuzzi suite, the jacuzzi was in the bathroom which in most hotels the jacuzzi is in the room. The room was very drab looking, no bedspread even. Could not justify $200.00 for that room. It did not even have continental breakfast. We had booked it for 3 nights, but only stayed 1. The staff were friendly, thats the only good thing to say
Water park is awesome for the kids. We enjoyed a lot there. The hotel is closed to Timmies and Starbucks and to supermarkets and has a fridge and a microwave to be able to have light meals. It isn't very new or clean but great value for families and staff are very friendly.
