We mentioned a couple of things to the manger in the morning at check out after staying for 2 nights. We had the king bed room with the jacuzzi tub. It was right above the bar which was pretty loud for both nights. The toilet wasn’t flushing properly so we had to literally take off the toilet cover to pull the string up to be able to flush it which they did come and do a quick fix the next day, and also the wifi that is offered as free, didn’t work all weekend. So as we checked out we just mentioned those things to the MANAGER. He apologized and offered a free night to us. We were overly happy with that and told that the money would be refunded to the credit card on file. A couple days later, the money was refunded... but I was also charged a $200 fee. I called to ask what that charge was and the MANAGER told me that after we checked out, he found syringes on our desk and a burning cigarette on the table ashing all over the floor!!!! Absolutely ridiculous to have that accusation. He refused to refund the $200 and then hung up on me. I would never stay at this place again. I have gotten advice from the Kingston police and will be reporting this man to the Better Business Bureau tomorrow. Horrible MANAGER at this location and from now on, I will be walking through a room with housekeeping before I leave a hotel from now on.…
rooms were very old blankets had burn holes in them cheap disstafull for sure. laundrey all over the hall floors not a nice sight to see. and on top of it all my tv didnt work. i would never stay there again,
We aren’t writing this review to give a bad rep, we are writing this to help people’s expectations when booking. We just stayed here for Valentines Day to get away from our daily norm. We have this as a tradition and have slept in many King Suites. This one is perhaps the smallest one we have stayed in. The bed is a true King and it takes up a LOT of room, the heater/AC is right beside the bed and quite noisy, so you may have to sleep close together on the opposite side. The pillows are really hard, but some people might like that. There is a strange draft and windy noise that hovers above near the ceiling that never goes away. The jacuzzi tub is great but be careful since the hot and cold knobs slide off as they are broken and not screwed in. You can watch the TV from either the tub or bed but the remote isn’t connected so you’ll have to dry off to change the volume or to turn it on and off. The customer service was good, so if you can settle for all of these things mentioned, enjoy :)…
Needed a room close to downtown Kingston. Basic room two queen beds. Updated bathroom but needs a side shelf or something for your personal toiletries. Arrived on a Friday evening left on a Saturday morning. The hotel has a breakfast area with all the basics cereal, oatmeal packets, bagels, juice dispenser, some fruit, yogurt, etc. Noticed walk ins quoted a lower price that what you pay over the internet. If you want to save a few dollars call them on their phone and book direct.
We arrived around 6pm on the evening of Christmas Day on our way from Montreal to Toronto. The receptionist on the desk was amazingly friendly and made an effort to find us to rooms next to one another. Since it was Christmas Day and nearly all the restaurants in Kingston were closed, the management prepared a bowl of soup and left it in the breakfast room in a slow cooker. We had some bagels we had brought from Montreal and with that we managed to make a meal of it. The breakfast was good. There was a waffle iron where we could make our own waffles. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The main drawback: there was next to no sound insulation, so that we could hear the TV and the shower and toilets in the nearby rooms. The floor in the hallway was uneven, but the breakfast room was full of beautiful Christmas decorations. Someone had taken care to make really nice decorations.…
