Lovely evening.Good food and excellent value. The staff were very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. We did not feel we were rushed after the meal as we were having a good catch up and the time flew by! We would not hesitate to make a return visit.

Nice welcome when we got there. Meal was superb (I had duck) and reasonably priced.Glass of Shiraz and a pint of local ale, can't go wrong. If you're on the A1 well worth a 20 mile detour,I know I will.

Mothers day and all tables taken but this did not mean anything other than great food, super service, friendly staff, great atmosphere and excellent value for money. On such days, it could easily have meant a long wait but not here and nothing suffered just because they were very busy. Would go again on any Sunday. Oh and what a...

Four of us had a really lovely lunch here last Saturday. Excellent value with 2 courses for £14.95, with everything very tasty and beautifully presented. The pub was quiet, but decorated nicely and the service was very friendly. We look forward to returning.

The restaurant is run by a close group of family and friends, and the food never dissapoints. Great value food and very friendly service. I would never think twice about going there to eat so it's definitely a place to consider for genuinely good food in a calm atmosphere.

Having read previous reviews I booked a meal for 4 for a Friday lunchtime. The Arms wasn't open on a Monday when I rang to book so I left a message of what I wanted and this was confirmed the next day. Great customer service. The four of us ate a two course meal each, which was great value the...

Chose the Shuckburgh Arms as the venue for our group of eight to enjoy an evening together. We were not disappointed. Prosecco on offer to start and the ladies duly did it proud. Our hostess was excellent and made us feel both welcome and comfortable. The menu is wide and varied and little did we know that you could have...

Good quality food, well presented, nice friendly service, good value, all in a lovely setting. Beer was good as well. The menu was interesting and varied. My main of smoked haddock in mornay sauce was delicious. We will return.

This pub restaurant is tucked away in the small village of Stoke Doyle near Oundle. However, when four of us arrived early on a Friday evening it was already busy. Our menus showed that the early evening choice was for two courses for £14.95. Two of us ordered the smoked haddock gratin, whilst the other two had steak and local...
