This is a dorm style room. Two Bedrooms, small kitchen. Daily service to refresh the rooms. The towels are thin but changed daily. There is a refrigerator and microwave, however you will need to bring in your own utensils, plates, paper towels, dish towels etc. Both rooms have a TV, bed and desk. There is coffee, tea and apples in the lobby @ breakfast. One huge problem is the handicap issue. You can pull up to the front door to unload, however the handicap parking is a distance away from the building. When checking in if you need a room close, be sure to tell them or you may receive one far in the corner away from the elevators. The rooms are not painted after the students leave, so where they had things hung on the walls, it is a mess. I found the beds to be comfortable. We stayed 4 days. There are no immediate eating places without driving, a huge grocery store is available down the street to stock the room for your stay. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful, we had a day staff person who had no personality and not helpful during our stay. I would go back here, it is very central for my visits with family and friends.
Thank snookiet

Front entrance not clearly marked from parking lot. Check-in was fast although lobby area looked more like a college dorm. Room was ok but looked like students had stayed there with the left over markings on the walls from pictures/posters being on them. Room had only been cleaned that day. Advised rooms cleaned once a week. Extremely cold in room and extra blankets didn't help. Spoke to front desk about issue. Handy man tried regulating the temperature to no avail. Came back with the smallest space heater known to mankind which was fine for working at the desk but nowhere else. Like staying in a room during winter with no heat. Had booked 5 days and left after 3. Last days refunded after calling hotels.com regarding issue. No frills and be expected to clean your own room.
Thank Cathy R

I have stayed at the RCC twice as a long term resident. Both times the stay had been ok. The Front office staff is helpful but there always are some minor issues here and there which one can overlook considering that it is a student accommodation.

The location is excellent as one can find grocery, transport, shopping etc. within walking distance but the neighborhood is not exactly something to write about. There is a public library and recreational area within walking distance. Parking is free at the college but i had a minor parking related issue which i was told will be settled by the RCC.

The accommodation is basic with two small rooms, a bathroom and a kitchenette making up the suite. The cleanliness of the walls and the carpet (which had several spots on it) is bearable. The hallway was spruced up this time with a new carpet. Housekeeping is provided once a week but the quality varies with the individual. The rooms have a small LED with basic channels. The hallways had been quiet during both of our stays at the premises. Free WiFi is available but the signal strength varies with the location of the room.

There is a central kitchen on each floor which is cleaned regularly and yet in the evening, on several occasions, is quite filthy. The range on our floor had two non-functional cooktops. The overall kitchen facility is decent but used very rashly.

The elevators appear to be dated and of the two, one would be broken down on a frequent basis. The premises has a coin laundry on the 5th floor only, for long term residents.

Overall, i found it to be a good value for money as i could not find anything else cheaper with free parking, wi-fi and a location as accessible as this. I would stay here again but keep my expectations bare minimum and just focus on the value for money that i am getting.
Thank Arshad68

You get a great room for a fantastic price. I decided to check it out and have now stayed on 3 separate times. The people at the front desk are always very extremly nice and helpful. You get 2 separate rooms with a queen size bed and closet in each. In the rooms i have stayed in the t.vs are practically brand new, or brand new.(plastic was in recycling bin) You get a nice sized kitchen with a table with 2 chairs, a full-size refrigerator, a nice sized counter with a shelf running above it, and a microwave. I found the rooms always very clean and orderly. They have a Large BBQ and patio style seating outside for guest use at no extra cost. There is a bus stop right out front and located across the street is a variety of restaurants/fast food, convenience store, grocery store, and Tim Hortons, They also provide guests with coffee/tea and fresh fruit in the mornings. The most I have paid per night is $73.00 a night, which is a steal if you consider what you get and their location

Walls were full of holes, bathroom corners were filthy! Unprofessional check in led to errors with our room number and time wasted figuring it out. No blanket provided, only a scratchy sheet and unappealing comforter.
