The Best place to stay at Jaldapara if you don't get a booking at Hollong. The lodge is run by WBTDC. The rooms are well maintained and spacious. The campus is large. The main building has two types of rooms and there are twelve cottages. We stayed at a Cottage named KAKATUA. The cottages are by the side of Jungle... More

Firstly a beautiful location, by the banks of hollong river and in a very close proximity to the Jaldapara National Park. The rooms were just perfect....AC/ gyeser/ bath utilities/ cleanliness every thing was up to the mark. On the hole a full value for money. Secondly the management and hospitality was very cordial, always with a smile. Arranged us an... More

We had a sort of mixed experience in JTL. First of all the rooms that provided to us were wonderful. They are situated on the wooden block. The light and sound show organised by the lodge authority in the evening was good. The behaviour of the staffs were extremely cordial. But coming to the food, its extremely pathetic. For the... Let me first clarify that there are 2 WB govt lodges in Jaldapara. Hollong is the one located inside the forest and this one is on the outskirts. We went there over this weekend. Took the 7:45am local train from Siliguri Junction to Madarihat and then a TOTO to the lodge (charge Rs. 20.00 per head). The lodge is located... More

Jaldapara Tourist Lodge is a West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Accommodation at Madarihat in the outskirts of the forest. This is one of the oldest and arguably the best place to stay at Jaldapara. Rooms – The old building had large wooden rooms. The whole property was renovated in 2010 and new modern rooms have been added. There are some... More

Firstly, the location of the lodge is superb. Being a government property WBTDCL lodges are usually located in large compunds in awesome locations, and this one is no exception. The boundary runs right past the jungle, and the sarafi ticket counters are located only 100 mts ahead. Very convenient. Location: 5/5 Rooms: Rooms are big. we took the wooden rooms... More

The place is perfect for a family stay in the middle of jungle and is in the vicinity of major tourist attractions like Jaldapar National Park. They provide breakfast, lunch & dinner which taste really good. Not very oily or spicy and have an essence of home cooked food. They also arrange for bon fire on request. Also cabs to... More

A beautiful state government run resort, spreading across a huge green area and just at the boundary of Jungle. There were a wooden block building and a newly built brick block building. Apart from these 2, they have around 10 beautiful cottages among which front cottages are comparatively new. There were two huge lawns which are very well maintained. Rooms... More
