Montrose Inn, one of the best examples of 'ante bellum' architecture in Ontario, was built in 1916 by Robert J. Graham, a prominent businessman and former mayor of Belleville, and remained in the family until the early 1980's. Montrose Inn invites you to journey back in time. From the first glimpse of this magnificent mansion through the stately gates and stone fence, visitors are welcomed by the well-manicured grounds and inviting verandas that grace the front of this stately home. Overlooking the beautiful Bay of Quinte, Montrose beckons you to enjoy the tranquility of a bygone era.

We booked for tea and left with a friend and a renewal for antiques and tea cups. The service was awesome and genuine. The food was good and the decor was amazing. Cannot wait to revisit for a stay over!

On our way visiting the east side of the province we stopped here for 1 night. Beautiful B&B in the lovely area of Belleville. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host who showed us our room. We could only book the last room they had available and it had 2 twin beds.

Good morning Kathleen, There are no restaurants within walking distance of the Inn; we are equidistant from Belleville & Trenton, about 10 minutes to each, where there are a lot of restaurants, both chain and independent. Hope this helps, Suzette & Roger, Innkeepers
