This is by far the most noisy lodging that I have ever experienced in my life. My wife and my 10 year old son and I stayed here January 1st 2017. People and loud music can be heard most of the time from the center courtyard and other areas of the complex. The rooms are very dated, depressing and are...

Visiting family and my wife and I decided to stay in the hotel maguana for a few days. My wife has a big family and we needed some seclusion for about 48 hours The hotel is ok for the price. We preferred the larger rooms with 2 beds. We faced the Hotel Bar outside and you can forget about a...

Not a 5 star, but still the best in town. Rooms are basic but clean. Staff is friendly and there is free Wi-Fi in common areas. Nice restaurant right outside with a bar. This is the only place I will stay in this town

San Juan de la Maguana is a quaint town whose heart Is deeply rooted in Its indigenous heritage. There are a few hotels to choose from. By far the best one to stay in is Maguana hotel. That is not saying much. There is no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage I hope you have strong sons....

Live music! Outdoor venue! I am living in San Juan and visited to celebrate a friend's graduation. It was a nice vibe in the place. Perfect weather and beautiful people! I would recommend it to any friends who happen to visit this gem of a town in the Dominican Republic.

My husband and I have stayed here a couple of times. This hotel seems to be the best in the area. We come with a group of 30 people. I have always enjoyed the time we spend in San Juan. The food is great and they make great accommodations for our large group. San Juan de la Maguana is about...

Our group stayed here 4 nights in 2014. Good service at the bar and restaurant. Pleasant staff. The food is good. WiFi works at only 2 small points in the hotel, both marked by old stuffed chairs full of mold. West wing plagued by pack of dogs barking all night long, derailing any hopes of a sound sleep. East wing...

i'll try to sum up pros & cons. pros: different room prices (from the ultra-small budget ones up to the suite), aircon, hot water, tv in all rooms, wifi internet, very close to the city center, good breakfast (slow, though) cons: often loud music/people outside at night, could be cleaner and cheaper, slow service, furniture quite old. to sum it...

Stayed here for 5 nights in December on business. Not sure if there are many other options in terms of accommodation in this town. Anyway, here is my summary of the hotel: Good 1. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to make you enjoy your stay 2. Cost is reasonable considering what is available and where...

This is an old and tired hotel. When you first enter the hotel you are given the impression that it is updated. The hotel lobby is well furnished. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. In the morning while I was waiting for the restaurant to open they brought around coffee. The rooms are another story. Very dated. The...
