We had an amazing stay at Stra. The farm is located within walking distance to both Novello and Barolo, and you can walk through the Barolo vine yards the whole way (Maresa will lend you a large flash light for using in the evening). The pool area has a fantastic view over the beautiful landscape and vine yards, and there's...

It was such an honor for me to try this magnificent wine right where it's produced. It was a real pleasure to talk about gardening with Roberto and to learn about his grapevines. He's very proud of the fact that he doesn't use chemicals, and the winery has been in the family for 5 generations. It's a lovely location and...

We just returned home from a month in Italy and this was one of our favorite lodgings. Maresa makes sure that you feel welcomed and Roberto is so proud of his wonderful wine that you immediately feel a part of their life. Our apartment was immaculate, beautifully decorated and had a very comfortable bed with nice linens, a large bathroom,...

My wife and 13 year old son just stayed for 2 nights. The hostess, Maresa, is unbelievably welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a two-room apartment that had a small kitchenette and very nice bathroom. The kitchenette is fully stocked with pots and pans and plates to make meals. Maresa already has the cupboard stocked with complimentary coffee and tea...

Very welcoming people. Me and my boyfriend arrive quite late, but the owners were very happy to sort an accomodation for us. Everything was so special, they invite us to relax in a living room with a fireplace, we had a great selection of delicious cheeses, wonderful Barolo, and excellent strong Grappa!! the morning after we had a fantastic fresh...

This place is absolutely a slice of heaven in the heart of wine country. The lovely Maresa makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. We only came to taste the wines but immediately fell in love with the family, the tradition, the innovative Nes-Cetta white, and Maresa! Her love and care for wine making is so...

My wife and I had planned a wine-vacation in northern Italy this year. We had a pretty good idea about the places we were going to visit, and where we were going to stay. The only region where we didn't know where to stay were in Piemonte. I looked after an agriturismo in the area around Barolo city, and I...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
For five generations, in our wine estate we have lived and worked according to remarkably effective yet simple methods; we have combined today’s indispensable technological innovations to the love of our forefathers for this land, its fruits and the job itself. And it is perhaps this genuineness that gives our wines a true and sensitive soul.Spending a few days in our farmhouse means sharing with us the joy of a simple way of life and paying special attention to the quality of every single thing. This is an aim we want to convey to every new guest so that we can feel, from the very beginning, among old friends. The apartments are comfortable although they are not luxurious, just as it should be in a typical country dwelling. Every apartment is composed by a double room, bathroom with shower, hair dryer, towel heater, daily cleaning service, living room with equipped kitchen. ... more   less
