Our first night in Barolo region, late, dark, pouring rain. Our B&B host offered to ride us to a local place for dinner. Wonderful little place. Unassumingly elegant. Pasta with fresh truffles for everyone but I tried gnocchi alla bietola which were heavenly and a very good veal dish. Great wine. Our B&B owner stayed and served some of our... More

The home made pasta with the incredible generous serving of truffles is just to wonderful to describe. I only hope that nobody discovers this tiny restaurant and that it never changes (even the somewhat unusual deco).

Piemontese gastronomy at medium high prices ; the restaurant doesn t look impressive and the service was standard but the food was superb from start to finish featuring the classics of piemontese cuisine looking towards tradition more than fancy experiments.

We stayed two nights at this family run friendly inn. The accomodations are clean with a nice modern bath. The restaurant is excellent. We had black truffels and white truffels. The wine selection was first class. Their wine a Barbera d'alba was very good. We visited the restaurant last year and liked it so much that this time we lived... More

We know Novello and the restaurant L'Angolo di Rosina from our previous trips - based on the outstanding qulaity of the restaurant we decided to stay at the hotel this time as well. The rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained, relatively small (with the exception of the junior sweet), but comfortable. The rooms share a balcony/terrace with... More

Highlight of our stay was the exquisite food we ate in the restaurant. Don't miss that. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Very friendly hosts. Breathtaking views over the surrounding undulating hills covered in the neatest rows of vines. And to cap it all you're in Novello one of the 9 ancient hamlets that make up the enchanting Langhe area. When... More

We stayed with Massimo at his B&B and he told us about his restaurant. We were cycling around Piedmonte and then going to a villa 25 klms from Novello. Massimo was kind enough to come to our villa, pick up all 12 of us and take us back to his restaurant for an amazing lunch. We had an absolute blast... More

Located at Novello, a small village in the Barolo area in Piedmont. To travel in the area, a car is a must. Novello is a small village with less than 1000 habitants and there isn't a lot of things to do in the village. Parking is not a problem during the period I was visiting. There is a church in... After having visited the (excellent) restaurant during our last visit to Piemonte, we decided to stay here for a few days, which we did early October. We had a very nice room, nicely furnished, recently renovated, very clean, with a large balcony. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they organized a visit to a vineyard to us and gave... More
