Lovely boutique B&B with three cozy bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms with luxury linens and luxurious bath products! Elizabeth the owner and chef welcomed you into her lovely home with Irish hospitality! Morning breakfast is special and quite delicious each day! Such delicacies as French pressed coffee, freshly squeezed juice, old fashioned Irish oatmeal with homemade granola, freshly baked scones and preserves, and omelette and fritters. So delicious! This was our first visit to Halifax since our daughter and her little family (2 year old granddaughter and husband) moved there from New York in June. We tried to book a hotel downtown, but they were oversold with a G7 meeting. The next alternative was an Inn, and the Pebble looked like the best. We tend to like being downtown so we don't need to rent a car, and we (mostly I) are not particularly fond of staying in places were we need to be social. Still, this was the best alternative and the pictures looked lovely. As we arrived, the first thing I noticed was that the pictures were actually true to the reality. My initial idea was to stay in town in a hotel but couldn't find one for my dates. Elizabeth's place came up in my search and I'm lucky it did. I've enjoyed every detail of this lovely place from the larger picture - the surrounding picturesque beauty of Halifax to the thoughtful and perfectly timed hospitality at The Pebble B&B. The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable and generously sized, the bathrooms luxurious, the coffee delicious, fresh juice and gourmet, healthy, fresh and hot breakfasts created in her stunning kitchen. Due to an airline issue, my sister and I found ourselves stranded in Halifax on a busy summer weekend. Much to our unexpected delight, we were rescued by the charming and hospitable proprietors of The Pebble Bed and Breakfast and the stress of our travel interruption melted away in the sumptuous surroundings of this lovely estate. Our room was luxurious and comfortable. Elizabeth's warm and gracious manner, was just what we needed. The sweet dogs and delightful cat made us feel at home. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Pebble. Liz was a very friendly, gracious, and hospitable hostess and gave us several excellent restaurant recommendations. Our room and bathroom were lovely and comfortable. The air-conditioner worked great. Enjoyed the outdoor patio as well. Breakfast was delicious. Overall everything was excellent!

My recent stay at the Pebble was one of the highlights during my trip to Halifax. The Pebble is perfectly situated just steps away from a gorgeous body of water and the downtown area. The owner, Liz, was very charming and went the extra mile to make sure my family and myself were completely satisfied with our experience. The amenities wer extremely well kept and breakfast was delicious every morning. Liz also had great knowledge of the local sights and attractions, as well as the best restaurants to visit. If you are looking for impeccable service and a beautiful home to stay while in Halifax, look no further than the Pebble.

We went to Halifax to bring our daughter to university and chose a B&B because we wanted a more personal experience for the five days we would be in the area. We chose The Pebble because of its outstanding rating and it was everything we hoped for and more. The location was perfect and the neighbourhood was very beautiful. The home was spacious and gorgeous, inside and out, and our room was comfortable, tranquil and spotless. Breakfasts were fresh and delicious and the setting and company were so enjoyable that we happily lingered much longer than we normally would. As wonderful as the home is, the real jewel of The Pebble was Liz, our hostess. We stayed at The Pebble for 4 nights. Liz was truly the most gracious, cordial and accommodating host. Her gourmet breakfasts, dinner advice and informative tips for travel advice were truly immeasurable!! The rooms were beautiful. Her attention to detail did not go unnoticed! We stayed in “The Pebble” room for 3 nights and in the newly added upstairs loft for our last night. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated ( gorgeous)!! We would definitely return and would recommend The Pebble to the most highly selective traveller!!

We liked the private terrace with the view to the arm. We could use it whenever we wanted, the living room and library, too. The location: Best place in the city, quiet and good for exploring the bigger Halifax area. Good advice for excursions to beaches and historic places as well as for restaurants. The wonderful breakfast, all self-made and organic and variable according to our wishes. Especially the Bircher Muesli, this was better than anything we know from Switzerland or Germany. The excellent coffee. Different tea options also available. The possibility to store food for excursions in the fridge. Elizabeth gave us 3 towels for the beach and let us wash our clothes, that was great.

Having stayed at many B&B's in the past I could honestly say none even comes close to the Pebble. We stayed here on the first 4 nights of our 18 day trip through Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and couldn't wait to come back to the Pebble and Elizabeth for the last 2 nights. It was like coming home. First about our room; the bed and bedding were not only comfortable, but the linens were Frette(only the best!!). The room itself was extremely comfortable in size with every amenity one could think of. The bathroom was huge with a fabulous free standing jacuzzi tub (which my wife couldn't wait to get into after a full day of sight seeing) and the best and most powerful rain head shower.
