There are not enough superlatives to describe the experience we had at The Pebble. The accommodations were beyond superb: the beds, the linens, the towels, the soaps and shampoos were all luxurious. The cleanliness of every room is indicative of the care (and pride) with which Liz addresses everything she does. The meals were prepared thoughtfully and expertly with prime ingredients. The common rooms and the outdoor areas were all welcoming and artful. The range of literature was well-chosen and geared to contemplation and relaxation; the decor was interesting, personal and expressive of the attitude and nature of the innkeeper, Liz O'Connell. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and succeeded at every turn. As my husband said to her upon leaving, she was "SO MUCH MORE than an innkeeper". We loved every minute of our stay and are so very grateful that we had the opportunity to be guests in the lovely and charming Pebble.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this wonderful B&B. First impression when we entered was the cleanliness and the wonderful aromatic smell in the air.
Our room was beyond expectation. The beds was oh so comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was as spacious as our room and had a large soaker tub, heated floors, and a great walk in shower. The towels were luxurious.
We had morning coffee and chatted with Elizabeth as she prepared our breakfast. The breakfast meals were delicious. She even made us Irish Oatmeal for breakfast one morning, at our request, which was delicious .Kind enough to give me her recipe.
Her husband David made us a beautiful breakfast of Eggs Benedict the day of out departure. They were awesome.
Elizabeth is a wonderful host. Very kind and engaging and will do most anything to make your stay warm and memorable. Her and David's home is beautiful. The rooms are luxurious. This was a memorable stay for my wife and I.

From the first breakfast of smoked salmon eggs Benny and a hearty round of singing Whiskey in the Jar, to instigating a small dance party at our third and final (equally excellent) brekkie, we knew we had found our people. Thanks to people like Dave and Elizabeth, the Maritimes more than lived up to its reputation for warmth and friendliness.

The food was excellent and made with care. The rooms have equal attention to detail. Air conditioning was welcome in the Garret for a couple of warm nights. The fresh hydrangea blossoms in the bathroom a nice added touch.

Super convenient to Kings College and Dalhousie, we walked downtown as well.

The whole family was sorry to leave. We will count the days until we can return.

We were unable to find a place to stay all night and the lady Elizabeth who works there was so kind to take us in on short notice. She made sure we were okay and had everything we needed, we had 6 people with us but the room only accommodated 3. She allowed us to sleep outside and was helpful in every aspect. The rooms were beautiful of course and in the morning she made us breakfast. I highly recommend staying there, it was an amazing experience!

Our trip to the Maritimes was capped off with a night at the Pebble. Right from the moment we met to the moment we left, Liz and her husband Dave were the most wonderful hosts! Liz’s spitfire Irish personality made our stay!!! The accommodations themselves were outstanding with fine attention to detail and the most cozy hygee surroundings. Warm down comforters, candles, beautiful scents and touches everywhere. The love put into this place shows in every nook and cranny. The breakfast was healthy and decadent at the same time. Thank you Liz, for your hospitality. This Saskatchewanian will show up again with her Baileys at breakfast!

My Husband and I stayed at The Pebble recently and our stay was just incredible. Liz is a warm and wonderful person and she is an incredible host. Our room was immaculate and had everything we needed to be comfortable and relaxed. Liz offered us delicious warm scones with homemade jam with tea upon our arrival. The next morning she prepared fresh fruit with yogurt before serving the most delicious omelet and she shared some wonderful stories about the home and its history. I feel like we have a wonderful new friend. Absolutely a First Class experience in every way.
Thank you Liz for everything.

Liz & David do not just aim to meet expectations, they aim to exceed all expectations and never deliver anything less. The Pebble is beautifully designed and comfortably equipped with the finest of bedding and bath products.

Their hospitality is heart-warming, and they are both very talented in the kitchen where they make everything from scratch.

I could not imagine traveling to Nova Scotia and staying anywhere other than The Pebble. I’m looking forward to returning for a fourth time next summer.

If only all trips could include the warmth and outstanding level of hospitality that Liz and David offer. From their beautifully appointed and pristine home to their innate ability to charm and make their guests feel completely at home. Everything is deceptively made to look easy and yet, it’s the gift these two have of making it appear so, when in reality it’s not.
One leaves already hoping for another stay! A true indication of just how special The Pebble is.
Breakfasts were scrumptious and so beautifully varied.
Thank you Liz and David for a most memorable visit!

Beautifully decorated and elegantly furnished. Immaculate; clean.
Healthy and delicious breakfast; organic oatmeal to poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon, bacon, asparagus......... and of course homemade scones!!
All in all Liz has attention to every detail. Do not forget to ask Liz about the history of how B&B got its name; Pebble. Both Liz and David are great hosts.
Memorable experience.
