My family and I recently stayed at The Pebble B&B while touring Universities and it was the highlight of our trip. The host and hostess are absolutely delightful and their home is lovely. After a long drive we arrived to such a warm reception, beautifully appointed rooms with the most spectacular view of the water and given a fabulous recommendation for dinner-Eliot and Vine. Our beds were so comfortable, linen pressed and duvet plump making it difficult to get up and get going. Breakfast did not disappoint, seated in her beautiful kitchen enjoying the best Irish Oatmeal I have ever had served with homemade jam and biscuits and French Press Coffee and fresh juice. We look forward to visiting this beautiful gem again.

The Pebble deserves at least 10 stars! A beautiful, quiet setting for a peaceful visit to Halifax. You will be pampered by hosts Liz and David at the moment you set foot into their comfortable home. We enjoyed a three night stay and would return in a minute. In addition to the luxurious rooms you will be treated to a 5-star breakfast every morning. Ask Liz about local recommendations as well as the history of their lovely home. If you are looking for a stay in Halifax, look no further! Thank you, Liz and David.

We recently stayed at this incredible B&B in Halifax. It was a perfect stay. Our suite on the top floor was so comfortable with the bed of your dreams that I hardly wanted to get out of. The bed linen was perfectly pressed, I need this bed at home. Loved sitting in one of the two cozy chairs by the window in the morning, watching the fog lift over the harbour as the sun was coming up. The aromas of breakfast lured us downstairs to the kitchen where Liz and David were preparing breakfast. There is a dining room where guests are served but we were even luckier and had breakfast with Liz at the dining table in their gorgeous kitchen. We felt like family. The Pebble is quite simply the best B&B I have stayed in anywhere in Canada let alone Nova Scotia. The charm and class of 1839 Armview Terrace is only exceeded by that of Liz and David O'Carroll who are outstanding innkeepers and hosts. From the comfortable bed, to the spacious and well-equipped bathrooms with Molton & Brown toiletries, to the excellent breakfasts and steady supply of tea and Newman's port in the evening, The Pebble is in a category all its own. It is truly my home away from home while in Halifax.

We had such a delightful 3 night stay at The Pebble. Located in a picturesque residential neighborhood, this house is gorgeously decorated and so inviting. The attention to details with luxurious linens and high end bath products, gorgeous dishware and beautiful art on the walls made for an elevated experience. Our hosts were beyond thoughtful and welcoming, Liz prepared a feast for breakfast and my kid still talks about how delicious those breakfasts were!

If only all trips could include the warmth and outstanding level of hospitality that Liz and David offer. From their beautifully appointed and pristine home to their innate ability to charm and make their guests feel completely at home. Everything is deceptively made to look easy and yet, it’s the gift these two have of making it appear so, when in reality it’s not. One leaves already hoping for another stay! A true indication of just how special The Pebble is. Breakfasts were scrumptious and so beautifully varied. Thank you Liz and David for a most memorable visit!

We have just returned from a week's stay at The Pebble with outstanding hosts Liz and David. We were welcomed and received very warmly when we arrived and had an excellent experience throughout the week. Our needs were responded to very attentively. Our room, The Armview, was beautifully set up to provide us with a bit of luxury during our time away. The breakfasts were delicious and perfectly suited our tastes. (Liz even shared a few recipes with us, which we eagerly put to use when we returned home.) We also appreciated the recommendations Liz and David shared for restaurants, galleries, and things to see and do. We would highly recommend The Pebble to anyone visiting Halifax. We are already thinking about when next we can return.

How could anyone pay their good money to stay in a hotel when you can stay in a first class top shelf bed and breakfast like the pebble the innkeeper's name is Liz she's Irish and she's so charming and funny a wonderful chef making gourmet breakfast every morning gourmet coffee Danish juice amazing! fine linen's down comforters super comfortable accommodations with a fireplace roaring in the living room and complete access to the entire house. What a view of the arm which is the waterfront there on a Sunny morning 50ﾟ outside crisp and cool I did not wanna leave my seat from breakfast every morning! She has 5 stars from everyone for a reason!

My wife and I only offer reviews for those places that are special or those that are dismal. The Pebble is more than special, it was the perfect introduction to ten days in Nova Scotia. Liz makes you feel at ease and at home while offering you comfort and privacy. We were there for three nights and had interesting conversations daily and unique breakfast specialties both from her and her husband David. We love early morning walks and the streets and nearby waterfront were the perfect place. An easy trip to City Center while offering the tranquility of a charming neighborhood. We would highly recommend The Pebble, you won’t be disappointed. Bruce R
