One can't get more historic than a 19th century inn visited by Oscar Wilde and other luminaries. We saw half a dozen rooms all different. Very good in downtown Halifax. The daytime concierge Chris is a pro.

I quite liked this hotel. As it has been a hotel since 1896, you get that feeling of old world charm. It is a great location. The room was a little dark, with only a small window, but perfectly adequate. We only stayed 1 night, but it was a nice quiet night's sleep, and the bed was comfy with a... More

Unbelievably grand. Linens were thick and soft. Breakfast very nice. Tea, coffee and cookies in lobby all day. On site parking. Beautifully appointed rooms, lobby and sitting rooms. Easy walk to sites and restaurants. Lovely all around.

We stay at this inn often, because it is such a great spot. Free parking is almost unheard of downtown. The rates are reasonable. And it is a charming heritage property. At Christmas time, the decorations alone would be a reason to visit.

Stayed 2 nights late August in this well located & reasonably priced B & B hotel for downtown Halifax & for the cruise terminal. It is a relatively easy place to find on Barrington St & offers ample off road parking for your car. Booking in was straightforward & the reception staff very helpful. Our room was clean, spacious &... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in late August. Good hotel with excellent location. Lovely rooms, Victorian decor. Competitively priced. Fair breakfast, but quite basic. Free parking in spacious lot, which was handy. Easy to get to harbor, restaurants, etc

This is our second stay at the Waverley Inn. It is a lovely old place, very well kept and I love the decor. It's perfect for this lovely old Inn. Breakfast is provided downstairs in the basement and it's pretty good, lots to choose from. The location is great if you like to walk to things. We will definitely stay... More

This is the second time staying here and again excellent. Wonderful Victorian decor, spotless and very comfortable themed rooms and bathrooms with all the modern conveniences. Hearty breakfast downstairs, but hot beverages and snacks in the hallway all day and evening. Convenient location near the universities and close to many great restaurants.

Our stay was perfect as always, we were in the P.T. Barnum room, on the top floor. The website stated no rooms available, it was Labour Day weekend after all, but I telephoned and found that they did have rooms available, and we chose this room, as one we had not been in before. Everyone was courteous, and helpful, and... More

This Inn is situated in a very handy location in Halifax. Close to everything. It is clean, and the rooms are good, if a little cluttered. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is cafeteria style, and the breakfast room is in the basement and feels a little old. Over all, you can stay here, but, we probably would... More
