My husband and I stayed here in early June and this will be our first choice of lodging on our next trip. The Inn is well located across from the boardwalk with parking provided. Our room had a nice view of the harbour with a very comfortable bed and the shower had lots of hot water. The self service breakfast...

The Spanish Inn is located on the Esplanade in Sydney, Cape Breton. It I'd across the road from the water and information centre. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The lobby has comfortable chair and sofas to just sit and talk or read. Your hotness Lynda MacKinnon is a friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The excellent price comes...

We stayed here for 2 nights in early September 2007 in one of the smaller rooms. It’s an older property. Feels quaint but also had a old/worn feeling as well. Pros: - Convenient location, close to the waterfront and restaurants - Free parking in the back - Free wifi - Light breakfast is included, like different breads and cereals. Cons:...

This was our first time staying at this location, it is right downtown which is convenient. It is a beautiful old house or inn. The lobby was beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable although our bathroom was very dated and could use some touching up. Our room was equipped with a microwave and a fridge and a large flat...

We stayed here for two nights, nice room, large tv, bed was comfy, very private. The bathrooms were dated and could use some sprucing up, but everything was very clean. Laundry room available, was nice. Breakfast room was nice and well stocked.

We stayed here for one night in late September in one of the smaller rooms. There’s only one nightstand in the room. It’s an older property. There’s a mix of quaint with heritage aspects but also had a old/worn feeling as well. We were asked to provide several confirmations even after booking and confirming the reservations a couple of months...

We choose this over a traditional hotel for an overnight stop. No idea how this has rated so high. The good: hardwood floors in rooms. Spacious. The bad : one nightstand, even though we both have glasses, phones, books etc. No plug even on the empty side. Old mattress that drags you to the center of the bed. Pilly, nubbly...

As advised from previous TA reviewers, I telephoned just prior to our arrival and were met by "Tanya" who met us in the quaint and attractive lobby. This venue has virtually no front desk staff which is "different". We were shown to our room on the second floor. What a nice surprise to see a beautiful queen bed and old...

Spanish Bay Inn is an easy hotel to miss, and the parking lot is even harder to see. But, never mind, on the second time around the block, there it was, and we chose one of the two on-street parking spots. We loved the downtown waterfront location and its proximity to the Governor's Pub and Eatery (Yum!). The decor was...

Stayed here for three nights with two other couples (relatives). Liked the lobby. Very comfortable and clean, well-appointed room. Access to breakfast - quite straightforward - but this appealed to us, as we had been eating too many Canadian/American cooked breakfasts elsewhere. Strange reception - noone there - had to phone someone to give us our room keys. Front door...
