There were two queen beds one was good but the other was terrible. It seemed like all the springs were failing. It was so noisy that every time I turned over it made so much noise that it woke both of us up. Unfortunately we did not find this out until very late at bedtime. By this time it was to late to ask to change rooms.
When we checked out in the morning we spoke to reception about the problem, and who didn’t even apologise for uncomfortable night let alone come and inspect the bed with us to see what we were complaining about. Not good !!
We were not complaining but just informing reception about the washbasin unit which was not attached to the wall and the tap was very difficult to operate as you had to pull it rather than turn it. It was really hard to get any water out and we were worried that it might cause a serious leak and flood. This information was met with by reception with ‘oh two complaints’.
We were rather surprised by this reaction as we used a very polite way to inform them of the problems we encountered.
Sorry guys but you need to up your customer service skills when responding to genuine problems guests have.
Closed located hotel to ST FX University located on the adjacent street of James Street. Within walking distance of the university. The rooms are small and dated but is a place to bunk down if you are visiting someone at the university of catching a sport event or just out for a night of drinking. Hotel runs around $100 a night check it out on your next ST FX stay.
Great location and easy access walking to the university Room was very large .... beds were not that comfortable... every time someone moved we heard the bead creek 😢 Staff was very friendly and welcoming
Clean and comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price. Only complaints were that the tub/ shower would not drain and the walls are thin. Could hear people talking in adjacent room. Close to the university and places to eat. Next door to the McDonald's.
Great spot off the Trans-Canada (on the old TCH) close to lots of restaurants in walking distance, clean and comfy rooms, friendly staff. Will return if I’m driving through again. Great value for price of room.
