About
Description
Blachford Lake Lodge, a family run business for over 30 years, is the only fly-in wilderness resort situated on Blachford Lake (60 miles south-east of Yellowknife). The 25-minute bush plane flight from ...More Yellowknife is often considered as one of the highlights of a trip to Blachford. We pride ourselves on complimenting your northern experience with great food, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and dedicated customer service. Our winter season (January to April) offers great opportunities to watch the aurora (northern lights), to go snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking, ice-fishing or simply to relax in the hot tub.Our summer season (June to October) offers great fishing. Canoe or kayak under the midnight sun (June/July) or hike one of the many nature trails. By late summer (mid August) the aurora becomes more visible again and one can watch the northern lights being reflected in the water. Anytime, feel royally when you follow the paths that William and Kate walked during their Royal visit at Blachford Lake Lodge in July 2011. Less

We visited for a three day weekend - two couples in our late fifties. It was rainy, but that didn't stop us from enjoying all the lodge had to offer. We stayed in two of the log cabins which were warm and incredibly clean. We...More

Friendly, international staff, comfortable accommodations (cabins/main lodge). Fly in to Blachford Lake, great fishing (lake trout, Pickerel and northern pike of course). Kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddle boarding. Super food. Loved it, didn’t want to leave.

My wife and I spent two amazing days and nights at Blachford, in the Raven's Nest cabin, one of the two with self-contained composting toilets so no late night excursions outside to answer Nature's call. Very cozy, and the Lodge itself is terrific. The staff...More

You would have a private cabin, or lodge room for both of you. New for 2018 we have added ensuite toilets to 2 of our cabins!
