My wife heard about this place from a colleague at work and had mentioned this was the place that Prince Charles once stayed. As we were going to tour St John's NL, she wanted to at least experience luxury for part of the trip. Well, we were not disappointed in most part. Listed as a Boutique Hotel, I had no... More

We stayed for 4 nights at the Ryan Mansion Boutique Hotel in June. What a lovely, intimate place. I felt like I was visiting a wealthy friend, rather than staying at a hotel, given its old world charm, the art work, high ceilings, intricate crown moldings, grand staircase, fireplaces in every room, etc. We stayed in the “Prince of Wales”... This is a lovely Boutique Hotel in a wonderful location, beautiful rooms with an excellent breakfast. Our two nights stay from the time we arrived was a delight ! The staff is so helpful and the people in this province are warm and welcoming. The location is perfect to explore everything St John's has to offer. We will be back... More

Stayed at Ryan Mansion for "girl trip" with my mom and my daughter (age 7). We had a wonderful time. Mary spoiled us...especially my daughter... :) Doesn't feel like a hotel where others have stayed...feels more intimate. Impeccably clean...beds are such that you just want to just sleep...peaceful, quiet and so private. Location could not be better...walk easily downtown to... More

The airport in St John's was closed for runway repair and, consequently, no one could land. I called all of our other reservations in Newfoundland and either got a full refund or a credit for another stay at a later time. Even the small "Mom and Pop" establishments were understanding of our inability to get to the island. Called the... More

I reviewed your matter with Mary who dealt with both your reservation and your last minute cancellation. She informed me that you called her to advise the day of your arrival you would be late as result of your inbound flight. Later that evening of your arrival you called again saying that you would arriving the next day as your... More

From the moment I walked through the door I felt like royalty. Mary met us late in the evening on a rainy Sunday. She was sweet and attentive and reviewed the keys and the comings and goings of the house. She was excited to share the details about the staircase and the connections the hotel has with the RMS Titanic.... More

We booked 6 days at the Ryan Mansion. Because of fog, our flight could not land, and went back to our hometown, two days in a row. The Ryan charged half price for those two days, and full price for the remaining four, which we could not use, as we had to cancel our trip. Be alerted. They are out... More

From the moment I arrived I felt as if I just walked into the door of a Knightsbridge Hotel. I had reserved for 2 days and then planned on spending 5 more traveling about the Avalon Peninsula. Beautiful hotel with amazing connection to Newfoundlands maritime heritage. the building is historic with luxurious amenities and modern conveniences. Breakfast tasted great, hosted in a beautiful setting and the cook had no issues with dietary restrictions. In short - old world charm coupled with new world service.
