Comfort and service were absolutely the best we've had anywhere. The staff were very friendly and highly competent. The downtown location was ideal. We have already recommended Blue on Water to our friends and family when they visit St. John's.

We spent one night in St. John's and this hotel was recommended to us by friends who know Newfoundland quite well. What an excellent choice! From the moment we checked in, everything was perfect. Incredibly hospitable and friendly staff. Our room was gorgeous and featured a huge bathroom, standalone soaker tub, lovely decor, incredibly comfortable bed and our own terrace....

This is our favourite hotel to stay in when we visit St. John's. Have stayed there now twice and hoping to again this summer. The service is excellent, as well as the meals. Rooms are very clean and it is super close to George Street! Would highly recommend.

After reading some of the negative reviews of this place I was a little worried about our upcoming stay for 9 days. However all those were put to rest when I arrived. Yes it's a little odd checking in at a bar full of people at 930 on a Friday night but being from nyc I thought it was perfect....

The room was amazing-clean, bright, beautiful decor and the bed was luxurious. The staff were professional and were friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to a return there again. You do NL tourism well. Congratulations owners and staff.

Horrible. Loud, smelly, and ugly. I would not stay here again. Our room was right on Water Street, which is extremely loud. Could not sleep. Also the room smells like mildew and the most caustic carpet freshener known to man.

Blue on Water is a small 11 bedroom boutique hotel located on Water Street in downtown St Johns. Although small and quite intimate, it boats a super bar (where you check in on arrival) and a great little restaurant. The rooms are bright, modern and very comfortable. The bathrooms are well stocked, clean and tidy. Prices are reasonable and the...

This place could give the Fairmont hotels a run for their money (and I've stayed in several). From the time we arrived (check in is at the bar...works for me:-) to the time we left we received excellent service. The bar/check in gal even came out to our car to help with our luggage! Which is probably the only downside...

Went there for dinner with my boyfriend. The menu was very confusing and the waitress didn't seen to know anything about the specials. Decided to just drink our mojitos and go somewhere else. They were rather expensive and I wouldn't mind only they were terrible. They taste like lemon juice and that's it. When I told the server this she...

Blue on Water is in the very heart of the tourist area of downtown St John's, one street up from the harbour. The restaurant and bar on the ground floor are hip and popular, with a bright and modern design. The breakfast menu ( breakfast not included) is creative if pricey. We stayed for 3 nights in a double queen...
