The Elizabeth Manor is a lovely guesthouse with comfortable rooms and a convenient setting. Breakfast items are available and can be enjoyed on a lovely outside terrace. Plenty of sites and restaurants are within walking distance. We experienced unsurpassed hospitality from the hosts who did everything to make us comfortable and at home. The room was spacious with an en suite bath (not all rooms have them) but one could also relax on the terrace, on lawn chairs in the garden, or in the comfortable common areas. Overall a wonderful experience!
The Elizabeth Manor is a lovely, comfortable accommodation that is ideally located off the downtown area of St. John's. Our room, Trinity Bay, on the second floor, was great--spacious, bright, well-equipped. It's self-catering, so guests are on their own--breakfast items are available downstairs in the dining/kitchen area. The hosts, Rob and Brenda, are very genial and are a phone call away if you need them. They were quick to respond when we asked for something. We think you get good value for your money and we recommend it. The only reason we don't give it five stars is that the hosts don't cook a breakfast, but if that's not an issue for you we don't think you can go wrong here.
We stayed 3 nights in the Trinity Bay room and completed enjoyed our stay. The reviews were right on the money. Our room was excellent and the location was walking distance to restaurants and bars. Rob, the owner is a wonderful host. I have no hesitation in recommending this B&B.
A lovely old home well kept and organized. Very friendly owner. Splurge on a room with ensuite - beautiful! Nice to meet others around the breakfast tables and choose what you want to eat. Location is great for walking downtown, to Signal Hill and Quidi Vidi. Bring good walking shoes!
Good quiet location , with convenient, free on street parking, Easy no contact entry and self serve breakfast, Hosts offer extensive information on what to do and where to eat while visiting. Access to outdoor patio.
The lovely Victorian home was a nice stay for us and Robert was a wonderful host. We would definitely stay there again, as the bed was comfortable, a nice breakfast greeted us in the morning, and Rob was there to help with any travel questions.
Immaculately clean and welcoming guest home. In addition to the quality rooms, the kitchen, deck and gardens were a nice space to relax. Breakfast included lots of options. Everything was high quality including the local artisan soaps. Highly recommend staying here!
Robert was an exceptional host. Our 4 day stay was improved by Robert who, because of unfortunate circumstances, made us feel very welcome. Our room, Bonavista, was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Robert was more than willing to assist us with everything we required even during his very busy morning schedule. Great location for all that is to see in St. John’s. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Eluzabeth Manor.
If I could give Robert & the Elizabeth Manor Guesthouse 10 stars I would. There was no downside to our stay there. The Trinity Bay room was very nice. The room and house were clean and comfortable. Robert went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant & worry free including providing parking for our motorcycle. The location was close to everything. I can highly recommend Elizabeth Manor Guesthouse!
We had the pleasure of spending two lovely nights. From the time we booked until we left, Rob was a gracious attentive hosts. His attention to detail in the home is noticed. Our room was spacious, clean and perfect for our family of four road trip. It is perfectly situated in an east walk to downtown and all the attractions. We could park our car and walk to attractions, dinner, signal hill. Couldn’t ask for better location. Beds were so comfortable with lush pillows. I loved the shampoos provided from a local vendor. We enjoyed lovely breakfast in the kitchen and had nice conversations with fellow travellers. And in the vending we were able to eat our take out when we couldn’t get into any restaurant due to our lack of planning. I wish we could have enjoyed the beautiful back deck as it was so inviting however Mother Nature had other plans for us Rob was a wonderful host, location is perfect and home was just what we were looking for. The bar had been set quite high for our next stop on our two week road trip and I fear they won’t match quality of Elizabeth MAnor I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for room in downtown St Johns.…
