We rented the room with an en suite bathroom which was good for us. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was great, she made sure I got gluten free waffles - the first time I've ever had them! The room did not have an open window so we used the A/C most of the night. The house is on Main St., but after 11 or so the traffic noise dies down. We were in town during lobster fest so we caught a live band just down the street. We had our bikes so instead of driving to the wharf for supper in Pointe du Chene, we biked. The trail is great and walking on the beach at low tide brought back memories from my childhood.
La Louisiana BnB did not disappoint. Very comfortable and in a great location. We had the best sleep of our trip so far there. Both Lady Janet and Lady Judi were welcoming and friendly. Lady Judi made us a delicious breakfast. We highly recommend this BnB.
Just as a proviso: I believe the hostesses were trying to sell the B&B (they want a quieter low key less work thing to retire to), so maybe actually contact the people and talk to them about your stay. Regarding the stay itself ... my room we really nice (it's got that great, "old well kept up old house B&B look and feel). I was on a cycling trip and they accommodated my bike lock up ans security needs really well. Breakfast happens in a roomy and sunny location, it's speedy and tasty.
Stayed here for 1 night in August 2016. Judy was very friendly and check in was good. Was given lots of information and shown room. Parking is carefully thought out for the three rooms, and no-be gets blocked in. Fairly quiet location, even though near a main road. Very good to be able to walk to the town, and we were impressed by what there was nearby, including many eating places and the giant lobster. Room was very clean, with good sized bathroom. Breakfast was good, included waffles and both Judy and Janet were around and friendly.
Judy and Janet were super friendly and fantastic hosts. The home was in a great location and within walking distance of the main street with shops, banks and restaurants. Also within walking distance of the tourist information and giant Lobster statue. The ladies were the most home-like hostesses. Our room was super comfortable with all the amenities (queen room with en suite bath) We stayed 3 nights and each morning were offered a different breakfast which all were really wonderful.Judy was a great cook and breakfast service was everything you would ask for. We even were given a treat bag each day for our afternoon snack & yummy baked goods were inside. A.very nice touch! We highly recommend them and give them a 15 out of 10 and really can't say enough to do them justice. Free wifi access was very good as well.…
We were welcomed and treated to great hospitality by Jan and Judy. They are quite the duo and so much fun to talk to. We were only able to stay one night, having to leave earlier than breakfast time, but we were still impressed with this place. It was clean, comfortable and had a nice historical charm to the property. Our room had a nice balcony with an outside access that made it feel very private. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
We had a private function to attend in the area and stayed here one night. We have never been treated better. These Ladies, Jan and Judy, went out of their way to make everything perfect. The rooms were immaculate, the bed was very comfortable(that's a BIG plus for me) and the breakfast, prepared by Judy, was nothing less that 5*... Yogurt with fruit and orange juice to start, followed by eggs benedict, toast with homeade jam and tea or coffee..YUM! The only thing that I would change is a quieter air conditioner. That being said, it was so hot and humid that night that we welcomed the air conditioning. We travel to Moncton, NB. often and we will not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Ladies!
Hubby wanted to go to Shediac -- the 'self-proclaimed' lobster capital of Canada. Looked for a place to stay and found this one on booking.com but then booked directly with the B&B. Nice place. Clean. Centrally located to the downtown and restaurants. Two sisters own the place and are friendly. Clean accommodations. Both are smokers but do so in the garage (although the downstairs did smell a bit of cigarettes). Would recommend. Clean and comfortable and pleasant (however, I don't necessarily recommend Shediac as a destination) -- except for the Eco centre on the wharf. Must see attraction. Best five bucks we spent!
We showed up to our room around 5:45 p.m. - only to be told that our room had been "accidentally" given away. We had been double-booked, and the lady was not very helpful at all about it. She did not apologize. We were in a rush to get to a wedding, so she told us she would fix the problem. She called later to say that booking.com (the website we had booked through) had found an alternative hotel... but it was 25 km's away! We ended up leaving the wedding and asking around - and found a place through a hotel. If the lady had been willing to help us, she could've found a place easily enough too! Instead, she just said "take the booking.com hotel" or "you're on your own."
We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 dogs. We found the sisters to be quite friendly and the accommodations to be spotless. Our only forewarnings would be that it is on a busy street so road noise can be an issue and the wifi does not work in the loft that we stayed in. But they did kindly offer us the use of the parlor or eating area if we needed the wifi. If you enjoy watching tv, there are only a few channels available. Our one big discomfort was the bed in the loft. It squeaked terribly and the mattress was not comfortable at all. After mentioning it to the sisters, they assured us it would be fixed. I would suggest asking about that before booking if you are expecting a nice quite nights sleep. The gardens are lovely and the location is good.
