Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One night stay in this hotel! But so much disappointment.... First of all, no warning when booking the hotel that the private bathroom for room 203 is not in the room but across the hall. I wouldn't book it if I knew... Very noisy heat pump right under the window. We had to choose - to hear the pump or to leave the radio on during the night... And last, but the most frustrating one - we ended up with an extra charge for a "missing item". No call, no warning, just a charge on the credit card. When inquired, they explained that they tried to notify me. After weeks of explanations and promises to refund, they refused despite I never took anything from the hotel... Very unprofessional and unpleasant experience! Would not recommend!

I booked a king suite online, but I received a personal call from management advising that they "upgraded" me from suite 204 to 201. The lovely gentleman on the phone indicated that these rooms have been recently renovated a week before and that suite 201 is much nicer, so he wanted to upgrade us. Rate is $179 per night, so between this and the personal call, I was really expecting an amazing stay. Ummm, nope. A "suite" usually consists of a king bed, and a small sitting area. The room is tiny, a king bed with a very uncomfortable mattress (hard as a rock), a little wooden folding chair against the desk with the tv is what you get for the 'suite'. The room looked out onto Main Street (view of Home Hardware and a parking lot) NO BLINDS! There is a spotlight on the roof of the veranda pointing into the room, and all the lights from the parking lot and Home Hardware, so needless to say, the room is bright all night. The glass shower doors have not been installed properly, so they kept coming off the track, so you get stuck in the shower with the door locked up.. So guys, maybe rethink what a "suite" is, get a comfortable mattress, and put some blinds up. We were exhausted the next day from sleeping in dawn like daylight on a hard mattress. The website states that you get plush bathrobes, there were none in our "upgraded suite". I really wish I could have stayed my original room that I booked, at least 204 was in the back of the building, might have been a little darker. So thanks but no thanks for my "upgrade"

The dining room "Les Brumes sur Mer" is operated by the Moncton restaurant "Les Brumes du Coude". Stopped in twice this summer for lunch and dinner. The seafood crepe for lunch was delicious and the fish for dinner was perfectly cooked with a medley of fresh veg. The inn itself, a former summer house, is a lovely Victorian with most of the interior features left intact.

Firstly, there is no one working in this hotel. You have to call for a code to open the door. Conversation? Restaurant? Where? There’s a lovely porch to sit on and watch the traffic, but the chairs likely hadn’t been washed since last season. This could be a nice boutique hotel, but too much was lacking.

Just held a family event at this beautiful property. It was the perfect size to accommodate our entire group of 5 families. The rooms are bright with modern decor while keeping the charm of this historical home. Several rooms with King beds and two suites for larger families. It is in a great location on Main Street in the heart of Shediac, NB, within walking distance to lots of dining, coffee shops, grocery stores, gym, etc. The restaurant, Black Rabbit, opened during high season, is a great addition to this hotel with amazing dining experiences. I would recommend it off season for great rates and a quiet weekend away, family events, or in the summer months. But book early as I'm sure it will be sold out all summer once the word is out.

We spent one night at this B&B type hotel. It is right on Main Street in Shediac within walking distance to restaurants. It has a good size parking lot in the back but the driveway can be easily missed. There is a grassy area with a gazebo and conversation pieces. The property does not have a front desk so it is punch code access. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite on the 2nd floor. It was incredibly clean and had modern decor/bedding unlike most B&B style hotels. When you walk in the door there is a little hallway that leads to the bedrooms. I was happy to have the 2 rooms as our daughter sleeps better in her own room. I didn’t give this 5/5 because the a/c was a loud window unit and not central a/c. It was also only located in one of the rooms so it didn’t cool down the whole suite. We had our 9 month old in the second bedroom so we couldn’t have the window a/c on as we wouldn’t hear her. Since it was cooler at night, we were able to open all the windows. My other concern for this room was that it didn’t have a deadbolt or chain lock on the main door to the suite (just a door handle lock). The stronger locks were on the doors leading to the bedrooms. While that would be okay if it was just adults, since I had a baby with me, I couldn’t exactly lock her in the separate room at night. I would definitely stay here again if I wasn’t traveling with kids.
