Detailed Reviews
This was a quick family visit to NB. This hotel is conveniently located off the highway and an easy compute to the ferry.
The continental breakfast was take and go. It served it s purpose in Covid times.
The room and bedding were clean.
The only issue we had was the smell in the room and the air conditioner. The room smelled like cigarettes and when you turned on the air conditioner it got worse.
The front desk offered to come spray the room but we said not to worry about it.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel has a low price point. You get what you pay for.
This is an older facility that has shown its age. Many rooms have sliding glass patio doors that exit out to peripheral sidewalk with chairs to sit outside (locked from the inside).
The bathroom had rust in the bowl, the bathtub had an extremely dirty-stained non-slip mat that isn't removable. One would not want to soak in this environment.
The furnace was noisy when running.
The bed did have a thick mattress cover and was comfortable to sleep in. The area was quiet from traffic.
TV has satellite coverage and many channels in french (remember you're in Canada).
The Choice Hotel website shows that breakfast is served. We found that breakfast was essentially a loaf of bread or bagels, a toaster, and some jam and peanut butter. There were no eggs, or meat, etc. typical of a Choice Hotel.

We stayed a night before taking the ferry to Nova Scotia. The service was alright but the hotel has a very old vibe. The room smelled a bit weird and the bathroom feels like we are in the 80’s. The air conditioning is also extremely noisy. Average experience

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lacking because they didn't get their scheduled deliveries, so we only had dry cereal and slice of bread. But a very convenient place for us to catch the ferry the next day. Room was quiet and clean.

Pet friendly which is nice as a lot more people travel with their pets. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, however, the hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. The location is good as it is right off the main highway. Green area to relieve your pets. Unfortunately, I Will not revisit unless a renovation is done.

Clean and quiet. Undergoing a change of ownership do hopefully some updating will be done. Close to restaurants and ferry, which was important. Not sure why there’s no elevator. Friendly front desk staff. Would stay again.

The room was ok, it was clean and service was ok too. But: I have never seen so many huge spiders in my whole life. The windows of the entire hotel were covered with dozens of them. Although there were nets I didn't feel safe. Breakfast was included but there were only two tables in the breakfast room so if you don't get up very early there is no chance that you get your toast and coffee.

We were traveling to Moncton by motorcycle on July 5 during ARTHUR, now a tropical storm. We had been on the road all day, soaked through three layers of clothing and just couldn't go any further in the wind and rain. The receptionist at the desk couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. From sheltering our bikes to helping us dry out. She is truly an asset to this organization! Our room was clean, warm and dry. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stayed here two nights on a combined business/leisure trip to Saint John. Very convenient location to get to Uptown for meeting and dining, shopping/sightseeing. Had a "suite" with loveseat, chair and reading area, and enormous room. Unfortunately the room was not very clean. There were visible crumbs on the carpet near the bed, and cobwebs over the bed that could be seen easily when the bedside lamp was on. Decor was a bit of a mishmash and a bit dated. Breakfast included, but the room where you can have breakfast was tiny, so only about 8 people at a time could actually sit and eat. Odd too was that there is no elevator to second floor so you have to haul your bags up the stairs. Not an issue for me, but some might have trouble. When I checked in and went up to my room, there was a pile of dirty towels in the hall that remained there all night. Upside, the bed was comfortable, and clean, and the place was quiet. Some work on housekeeping standards is needed but otherwise I would recommend for a brief stay..

I've rarely been disappointed in my hotel choices since I started checking TripAdvisor every time, but this one was pretty disappointing. There was no one big problem, but a series of little things that just gave a bad impression then reinforced it. The neighborhood is industrial and doesn't feel especially safe. The sign on the door about a the lobby being locked to reduce crime, which I guess is both reassuring and concerning. The front desk was unattended when I arrived and someone came after about 5 minutes. Best I can tell, she was the only one on duty during the busy checkin hours and was off assisting a guest with a problem in a room. I don't blame her, she was friendly and helpful and got us checked in quickly once she was back at the desk. We were on the second floor, but there is no elevator. We had to carry things up a narrow stairwell that is also used for storage. The corridors are stuffy and smell badly of stale smoke -- my fault for not picking a 100% smoke free hotel I guess. Everything was kind of dingy and worn. It seems to be cleaned regularly but it's badly in need of a major renovation or at least a deep cleaning. The room itself was not bad, clean and the bed was comfortable. We have come to assume a microwave and fridge in almost all hotel rooms, and were disappointed not to have either. The next disappointment was that the wireless internet was incapable of uploading a copy of my day's pictures (of which I had a lot after a day at Fundy NP). I could do the basics of checking email and browsing but anything more just timed out. The top annoyance was the loud and non-functional air conditioning unit. It just refused to produce cool air despite being on the coolest setting. Eventually it cooled enough outside to have an open window help bring the room to a reasonable temperature. The final disappointment was with the breakfast area. It was tiny and crowded and extremely picked over (no milk available either of the times we went down) and again with what seems to be a bad case of understaffing, no one taking care of that area. I know Comfort Inn can mean anything from this one to a wonderful hotel like those I had the night before and the night after (both also Comfort Inns). I know I would never return to this hotel but I hope the management can address some of these problems for others who might wind up here.
