Fantastic well planned out hotel. Awesome Reception staff, gave us a nice room with a view of the harbour complete with a cruise ship. Beds very comfortable, shower hot and good pressure, W/C accessible and the best breakfast included !! Hot and cold Selections and the best overall selection I’ve seen in a long time So well planned little sliding doors close off the room after brekkie. Nice pool with a real deep end so You can swim, our floor had ice Machine and pop dispenser Across the road is the RED pedestrian trail that is a 20 min easy walk to the waterfront Very nice Excellent location Highly Recommended thanks from the Prairie schooners

We’ve stayed at this location several times over the years to visit with family. This time during COVID-19 we were wondering what our stay would be like. They have implemented the suggested cleaning and separation guidelines with ease. The gym and pool are open but the hot tub is not...hard to physical distance in a hot tub...Everything in our room seem pretty much the same, except no plastic bottled water but they have installed a filtered water filling station in the lobby to fill your bottles, which is better. They’ve wrapped the tv remote in changeable plastic wrap. No room cleaning during your stay but if you need extra towels etc just call the front desk and it’s dropped to your door. No hot breakfast but they still provide cereal, yogurts, muffins, fruit, coffee and tea. And there are some extra new takeout items. But No hot cinnamon rolls! (Sniff sniff) It’s a great place to stay while exploring Saint John.

We travelled to Saint John for a medical appointment, otherwise we wouldn’t be traveling. (COVID-19 restrictions) The hotel was impeccable, we felt very safe and secure. Numerous Covid-19 protocols were in place. The location is very central. They had a nice continental breakfast, with trays to bring to your room. There wasn’t seating in the breakfast area. Our room was, what I would call a King suite, with a separate sitting area, two large televisions, and a kitchenette (no cooktop) One morning after a light snowfall, I noticed that our vehicle, along with other guest vehicles, had the snow cleaned off. I had never seen that before. Good job.... I would highly recommend this hotel.

Firstly, it was nice to be rewarded as a Platinum IHG Member with an upgrade to a King Bed suite.
The property is not new but seems to have been renovated recently; or at least the parts we saw.
Our room was modern, fresh, clean, and well laid out. The musty carpets of yesteryear are replaced with laminate flooring which is easier to clean, nicer to look at, and less likely to cause any issues. The Holiday Inn sheets remain our favourite for softness and a good nights sleep. This property did not disappoint.
John at the front desk welcomed us to the property, advised us that if we wanted, we could park our motorcycle within eyesight of the front desk. We were settled for the night (after a long day) and decided to leave them in the lower parking lot (where they were fine).
The morning breakfast was self-serve buffet style and was as expected from a Holiday Inn. The in-suite wi-fi was sufficient for my daily video conference call. The blackout blinds to the exterior window kept light out for a good nights sleep.
I have stayed at many IHG properties (around the world); some good and some not so good. This is one of the better properties I have stayed at. You can tell management (and/or ownership) takes pride in the property, its upkeep and its presentation.

Our second stop on our tour of the maritimes was the holiday inn Saint John harbour side. It had a great location, we were about 5 minutes to the walking trail that lead to the downtown entertainment area. Our room had a great view of the harbour! The rooms were spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. There was a microwave and mini fridge. There was no issues with the internet or hot water. The air conditioning cooled the room very quickly but was a bit noisy. The included breakfast was great. There was scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, ham, beans, a pancake maker, breads, oatmeal, fruit, yoghurt, etc. The hotel was also a short 10 min drive to the ferry to Digby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel close to downtown and close to the ferry!

I stayed here in late June for the Memorial Cup hockey tournament. My main requirement was proximity to the event and the hotel was a 25 minute walk to the arena thanks to a convenient walk/jog/bike path that runs right by the hotel. My king suite was standard, but nice and featured a big comfortable bed, two TVs, a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave, cookware and cutlery and kitchen sink. There was a long window that ran the width of the room to let in lots of natural light, though it overlooked a parking lot. The blackout shade worked perfectly. If I pulled it down during the day, the room went completely black. It made for a nice night's sleep. I was never awakened during the night. The shower was spacious and the water pressure was perfect. If I had a snack craving, their pantry next to the front desk was very reasonable. The free breakfast included eggs (scrambled or omelet), bacon or sausage, pancakes, breads, bagels, coffee, tea, juice, cereals, fruits and other items. The best part was the friendly and very helpful staff. I picked their brains frequently for dining and sightseeing suggestions and directions and they couldn't have been more helpful. Lastly, I probably would have rated the hotel higher overall, but the room charge was significantly higher because of the event. This was expected as all hotels do that, but it wasn't quit the bang for the buck as it normally would be. I'd definitely go back, though.

This property looks brand new, maybe has been renovated recently? Well-decorated and comfortable. Larger rooms feature a kitchenette with mid-sized fridge, microwave, and sink. Reliable internet access, large TV’s, comfortable beds. Courteous staff. Easy, free parking in adjacent lot (very convenient for coming and going). Excellent!

We were really impressed with the hotel. Super welcoming staff. Very clean and upgraded throughout. The rooms are spacious. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed with lots of towels and great shampoos and conditioners. The wifi worked great. On-site parking and hot breakfast are included.

Nicest Holiday Inn we have ever stayed at. Rooms very modern, well-equipped. So thoughtfully designed! Charging ports in all the right locations, bench to put your suitcase on, hooks above the bench for jackets/purse, etc., fridge with freezer, Keurig machine, bathroom lighting was fantastic with lots of counter space. Blackout curtains and super plush bedding made for a fantastic sleep. Included breakfast had a wide selection of hot and cold items. As a vegetarian, we appreciated having options that were not just carbs. Location is also fantastic - simple walk to great restaurants. Highly recommend!

I booked this hotel because of my husband Hospital Stay. Got it at a much cheaper rate which was awesome. I booked 2 Rooms , One for myself and Other for my daughter. I requested joining rooms but wasn't guaranteed. We got at the hotel late because of staying at hospital as long as we could and upon arrival my daughter became ill. The joining room wasn't available and The Hotel Concierge immediately notice how my daughter was ill and I asked to cancel the one room so we could share the same room because i didn't feel comfortable leaving her alone in her room. Extra Room was cancelled at no cost. The beds were Extremely Comfortable ( one of the best i slept in) . Very Clean and Beautiful Rooms. A bit noisy because of Traffic and Train going by but that didn't bother us much because we were both exhausted from being at the hospital all day/evening. Breakfast was also included and was very Good. Free Parking. I'll definitely stay at this Hotel for any circumstances , whether for hospital reasons or leisure!! Excellent Customer Service!!

The breakfast is basically a few items in a bag: maybe a piece of fruit, a granola bar, a yoghurt, that kind of thing. It's a far cry from what they used to serve: a full hot buffet breakfast. But it's not their fault
Thank you for choosing our Hotel for your upcoming stay in Saint John. Our breakfast begins on Mondays at 6:30 am and goes until 9:30 am. As a previous guest mentioned - cold items are usually available by 6:15 am and the hot is rolled out by 6:30. We look forward to welcoming you!
