It was an excellent experience from booking, to check-in to check out. What a wonderful Spring experience! We were greeted in our room with a great choice in music and a warm (plus easy to use) fireplace.
In the fall we stayed here but with the other company that owns in the building, Shell Vacations. There was two main reasons why we booked this hotel a second time; one being the location right near the ski lifts and two, the units have kitchens. This is a basic hotel with very reasonable rates currently. We did find differences between the two companies however. The kitchens do not seem to have the same amenities available (ie, paper towel, dish towel, baking pans etc). This is just a small thing but had I known I would have made sure I brought some items so that we could make the meals we brought. It was an easy fix with the store a close walk. There were a few things that did not work, one being our door and the other being the upstairs tv. Other than that, we had an awesome stay and appreciated the pool scheduling so that we didn't need to be near other families but the kids still had an hour a day to swim. If you are staying to access the ski lifts it was a very short walk and our 6 year old had no issues (a small child in ski boots walking is always interesting!). The staff was very friendly and always happy to answer our questions!…
I was on a solo trip to Whistler and what a great surprise to be welcome at the Mountain Side Hotel. The reception staff (morning and afternoon) were friendly and always with a smile. They keep my luggage for few hours without a problem. The room on the second floor was facing the pool, so it was a nice view. I loved the fireplace, the kitchen with all the basics, and the size of the room. The bed was comfy, just the pillows a little uncomfortable, but I choose the better one. The hotel provides a ski locker and a padlock on the parking level. The location is really great, just 5 minutes walking distance to the gondolas and lifts. Definitely, I will book again the Mountain Side Hotel by Executive. Thanks to Guest Services for your good work!
This was my Birthday mini break to a place I used to live in and I’m really glad I chose this hotel. The location is perfect - just steps away from the hustle and bustle of the village, but still quiet enough to have a lie in. All the staff members were really friendly and helpful, especially the lovely Australian girl at the front desk. The room was a perfect size, with everything you might need. It was great having the pool and the hot tub - made for a real holiday feel. The sign up for the pool is convenient, was even lucky to have the whole place to myself at times. Just bring flip-flops, not to go to the pool in your boots:). I had a pool and mountain facing studio - wonderful waking up to that view!
A nice clean and well appointed place to stay right in the middle of the village. Steps to the lift and shopping and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only downfall is finding it, especially if you are not familiar with Whistler. Parking was also a bit of a gouge at $30/night.
