We stayed at the Journeyman Lodge for two nights in early January. It was in the middle of a cold spell, temps were -20 so we didn't stay outside for very long. We were there for backcountry skiing. We arrived in the morning and got a sled ride up. This allowed us to have more time and energy for a...

This lodge is deceptively close to Whistler as the crow flies but is off the grid. Power, water, food - everything must be brought in. Given those constraints its warm, comfortable, well-constructed and well-appointed. Particularly nice to come back too when it was -25 deg C outside! Rogers Phones get cell service there fyi. Telus phones get cell service just...

Friendly staff are very welcoming. Our room (Solitude Suite) was beautiful and cosy! The food was amazing! We had such a great time talking with the other guests in the evening about where they were from (Sweden, Australia, Switzerland) and where they have been. The evening trip to the sauna was a fantastic adventure! This lodge is located perfectly for...

Great staff and gorgeous lodge tucked into a winter wonderland. We skidoo-ed in than cross country skied on the first day. Lots of terrain to explore. On the second and third day we ski toured. tough hiking through 2 metres of fresh powder!

We just had our first experience with Journeyman's lodge for new year's eve and already can't wait to plan to get back there. From the beautiful ski up that has spectacular views, frozen waterfalls, crosses rivers and finally reaching the lodge to being greeted outside and brought in to a crackling fire, warm slippers, tea and a very thoughtful orientation....

This was my second visit to the Callaghan Country's Journeyman Lodge. My last trip was in the spring of 2010 with my father. This time, it was late December, and I was visiting with my boyfriend who had never seen the backcountry. While we were there, the Callaghan was dumped on by 90 cm of fresh pow! It was magnificent!...

Callaghan Country's Journeyman Lodge is a gem. Ski, snow shoe, or catch a ride on the snow mobile to the loge nestled in at the base of solitude mountain. We used our classic skis for the trip up and our skate skis for the trip down. Many people ski up for lunch which is a great day trip. We spent...

I'm just down from my second overnight trip at the Journeyman's Lodge and it really is quite spectacular. As a lover of downhill skiing and a long term Whistler resident I've been watching the Sills family develop this area for years. I'm not a fast cross country skier and used classic skis to get up in 3.5 hours with a...

As our children came home from different universities the lodge was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect as a family. The room was perfect with the kids loft and the food was hearty and plentiful. The charming staff informed us that it had snowed 50cm in 6 hours and we had another 20cm overnight. Luckily we used classic on...

Beyond beautiful location. I've never had such great service from staff - so personal and professional. Luxurious and cozy at the same time. Couldn't have had a better experience! Everyone should experience at least once, can't wait to go back!
