We had the delux room on the ground floor with 2 bunk beds and a futon, but were told it was only big enough for four, although you could probably fit five or six at a squeeze. There was also a kitchen, private en-suite bathroom and small patio area in the garden. It's right next to the pool room and... More

I stayed at the hostel for a month and had an incredibly enjoyable stay. Geoff and his staff (Kanako and Mami) went out of their way to ensure I had everything I required to be comfortable. I stayed in Frog Hollow 1 for the duration of my stay. I think the cost of this particular room is very reasonable and... More

Definitely a ski hostel, with wood accents everywhere, and a huge common area with plenty of log cabin feel. Loved having a hot tub and steam room available at the hostel. Very handy after a hard day of skiing or boarding. The hot tub isn't a party tub as it doesn't seat a lot of people, but it's great for... More

The Alpine Lodge Hostel is a great way to spend a week hiking in Summer or Skiing during the Winter. It has a full spa bath and shower system similar to a Japanese onsen. The host Jeff has great stories and advice for your time in Whistler. The hostel is about a 5 minute drive from whistler village, and very... More

3 of us needed somewhere to stay at extremely short notice, rang them up and they made room for us; managed by a top guy in Jeff and some others; hostel as a family feel to it, extremely clean and tidy. Would recommend this to anyone, I know that I will only be staying here in the future. When you're... More

My stay at the alpine lodge wasn't one of the better hostels I have visited, you couldn't lock the door to your room and there were no lockers to put your stuff in. No power points near the beds which is pretty annoying and didn't really like the owners demeanour and attitude. Is in a decent location and decently priced.... More

Stayed for three nights with several of my friends and we had an amazing vacation! Great hostel - very cozy and outdoorsy. Rooms were well-furnished (bunk beds were adorable!). We even had our own kitchen in one of the rooms. Beautiful location; feels like you're camping yet living very comfortably at the same time! Nice market and cafe close by.... More

By "breakfast" they mean hard boiled eggs and toast. Interested in the jacuzzi? Its only running once or twice a week. I tried asking Jeff, the manager about opening it up. He seemed disgruntled when I woke him up from his busy mid-week afternoon nap only to give me attitude and confrontation. The wifi is terribly slow. You only get... More

Sorry about your feelings! This is a hostel, a rather fine one at that and not the Ritz. Breakfast is toast, PB & J, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, Orange Juice and maybe something else every now and then. And it is included with your $40 - $45 rate for free. The Jacuzzi is emptied, cleaned and filled every day,... More

The lodge is situated in a quiet neighbourhood and has a good location ( bus #1 stops near by and it is 15 min ride to the gondola). The price per night for a shared room is $50 which includes a basic continental style breakfast served from 7:30am. Lines and towels are provided, sleeping bags are not allowed. There are... More
