Did a great job accommodating us and making us feel safe! We were able to book the pool twice and given early check in and late check out. Clean room and great fireplace. Great location for our needs.
I'm sure a LOT of effort goes into making this hotel so amazing, but the result appeared effortless to us. I just cannot fault this place. We stayed for 14 nights from 28th January - 11th February 2020 and are so thankful we chose to spend our time here. It's located in the heart of the village - with a fantastic food market across the road, an on-site restaurant and cafe, and lots of places to eat and drink on it's doorstep. On a couple of occasions, we walked back from the slopes in our ski-boots and with our skis and poles and it took us about 7 or 8 minutes - it was really no hassle. Walking distance from the slopes, however, is almost irrelevant as the hotel provides a constant (and free) shuttle service straight to the base of the Whistler mountain. The trip takes about 2 or 3 minutes and their friendly drivers load your skis/boards for you. Pierre and Steve are an absolute credit to the hotel - they must drive the same route 30+ times a day but they are always keen to hear about your day and chat. Pierre and Steve are among great company though - the whole Summit Lodge team have such a great attitude. The guys that store your skis are so helpful - the reception team and the housekeeping team all have such good morale and above anything it's what will make you want to return here. A great hotel is more than just free WIFI (which it has of course) and a loyalty card - it's about feeling like an actual guest and not simply a customer. There's free coffee / tea / hot chocolate available 24/7 from reception, you can borrow a fish if you're feeling lonely, there are free snacks and treats waiting for you after a day of skiing, there's a heated pool and a hot-tub turned up to 11 to warm you up - it just has everything you need. The rooms are smart, modern, well equipped, nicely sized and quiet. We received a modest room upgrade and a bottle of wine on our arrival for booking with our Expedia VIP status which was very welcome after a long journey. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Whistler. Summit Lodge should be very proud of themselves and their team. We'd like to mention Robbie on reception who gave us lots of tips and Whistler hacks. Also, our housekeeper Leandro who was such a good sport - we hid his tip around our room and left him clues and treasure maps to help him hunt it down - he took the challenge and set us some of his own. I think if I had to be critical in some way, I would suggest scrapping the parking charge and make it free for guests on a first-come basis. Otherwise keep up the good work guys - you absolutely deserve the No.1 rating - it was a pleasure and we hope to see you all again soon!…
The hotel is great value for location and room size. Staff were helpful and the hot tub + pool was easy to book. However, parking is worse than downtown Vancouver, and there are only two lifts for all the rooms (and no stairs to the carpark). This led to grumpy visitors giving lip to other strangers in shared areas, accusing them of not waiting to press the lift button, for example. Combined with not being able to find carpark space and many cars parking over the line, next time I'd try an out of town hotel if I'm driving and drive in or take the bus.
Great hotel we stayed there for 6 days, front desk employees super friendly and helpful, very clean, great atmosphere, fantastic location, swimming pool little small but it wasn't a problem for us .We already booked for May long weekend ,
I just checked out of the hotel and Brogran was the ultimate most awesome front desk representative ever. Talk about going above and beyond for customers. Thanks for a great stay! Fully recommended...
