We are here staying at the hotel right now. I had never stayed here before and booked our room because we had received a promotional email. Honestly I was looking to book the Westin as per normal but decided to give the Executive a try. Bad mistake!! The space has turned out to be such a let down. First of all there is no lobby area since we are not part of the main building so I feel like I am part of a timeshare rather than a hotel This definitely takes away from the whole hotel experience that I was expecting when I booked to stay at a hotel!! This should have been clarified upon booking. Secondly the decor is so very different and aged then the ones in the pictures. It feels more like an old motel than the hotel pictures I saw in the email. Thirdly, and the most disappointing is the condition of the building and the room. We have had cleaner and in better condition bathrooms than here in hotels off the Hwy during road trips. This hotel is 2 star at best. The building as well as the room are so run down and aged. There are stains on carpets and broken worn down or chipped furniture or broken hardware in the room the hallway as well as the elevator which is in horrible shape. It is unbelievable to me that the hotel would allow itself to be in such condition especially in Whistler. I have never experienced anything here like this before. I feel like I am staying in an old camper or a frat house!! I feel deceived by the pictures I was sent in the email when compared to the room I am in.…
Unfortunately the smoke ingress into my room from the hallway was campfire worthy.....not a good trip. Although the kitchen was cute, bed was comfy, door to the deck slightly drafty....its to bad the smell really ruined it for me.
Really nice building and nice rooms. Reception staff were super helpful! Very clean and spacious room. We loved that we could get a fire log from the reception and have a fire in the fireplace! Parking was super easy also! Would definitely come back!
Great location in the village, cheap rates due to covid. It was great walking out the front door and being in the middle of the village. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms feel a little outdated, but overall good. Complimentary log for fireplace, just need to ask front desk. Hand written birthday card for myself. I requested a village view and got it. Underground parking.
Stayed in room 217 for one night at the Executive Inn Whistler Suites and was really looking forward to a nice chill getaway. Got exactly that , (CHILL) the room was FREEZING !!!!!! Had the heat on and even set at 85 degrees and was still cold all night long!!! The fireplace was not cleaned out prior to our stay and the Kureg had a used pod still in it. We did call down to the front desk and he brought us up 2 fire logs which we were grateful for. We were offered 50% for the night. Very disappointed to say the least. Hotel room should have been credited at the whole rate.
