Visited the Mallard Lounge today to have a lunch. Even though we are used to have the top notch service here, today we were helped by Lauren, who provided the exceptional service. It was so smooth that by watching her one might think that her job is the easy one (It is the same like when you watch Roger Federer playing tennis - it looks so easy and smooth... That is the impression when you watch champions). However, knowing that her job is actually one of the hardest ones, and the top service of that kind is unique, so we've felt the obligation to raise our hands to Lauren and hail her for her professionalism and skill. Thank you, we'll come back again in December! Btw, the food was great, as usual. Avocado salad = 5/5.
The experience at the Fairmont Château Whistler was truly magical. From the moment the reservation was made to the pre-arrival communication to the friendly check-in to the impeccable room and housekeeping service to the delicious food & beverage to the variety of quality amenities and activities. The level of service provided at all touch points was superb. The location of this property is extraordinary. The entire resort experience was incredible. We look forward to returning in the future. Camila (Concierge), Rikki & Jack (Activity Tour Guides), and Emma (Wildflower Server) were phenomenal and made our experience even more unforgettable.
Fabulous, staff and hotel just fabulous. I would expect nothing less from a fairmont and this hotel delivered. The food was exceptional, staff ( especially the valet guys) were amazing and the room was perfect. I cannot wait to return with skis in hand!
If you plan to visit this establishment with a premium membership, save your money and find another place. The service was awful, especially for one who holds a platinum membership. According to the other guests there at the time, their service was not that good either. When we got there, they completely changed our room from what we originally booked, which made it so we didn't have nearly enough beds for the amount of people we had with us. We made sure to book the amount of individuals we had with us, yet our booking was changed still without our knowledge. Note; we have a platinum status. That is one of the highest levels you can get at a Fairmont, so it didn't really have anything to do with priority booking. They insisted on charging us for several different benefits that we usually get for free with our membership, and although it sounds petty, it makes a pretty big difference when you're already paying top-dollar to stay at one of the most prestigious hotel chains in the world. I have been to many different Fairmont chains, this one however takes the lead at being the worst. Mind you, I feel like an entitled little s$%# when I write this review, however if you paid the amount we did just to stay at a hotel, you'd probably be pissed off as-well.…
Amazing stay that made our anniversary over the top. Could not have imagined the level of attention and service we had. Thank you for making it special The setting staff and details remembered by them made it amazing
Beautiful stay been in winter and summer will be back next year. We will be planning to stay next xmas.Staff amazing to be able to explore this place in both summer and winter was beautiful. The hotel is a winter wonderland and a summer hive of action seeking tourists. We stayed on floor 8 in the fairmont gold class which was beautiful. Quiet drinks beautiful staff in the lounge very well educated on the local tours and walks. We where advised to take the sea plane adventure flight thru the glaciers and the above the pristine blue lakes something to remember. The thrill was the private bear tour thru rescued forests untouched for 70 years in a soft top Jeep seeing bears in there natural habitat was magnifique! we will be back very soon.
The Fairmont in Whistler is always a pleasure to stay in. The rooms are comfortable, and with the right amount of balance between nespresso machines, toiletries, towels, and facilities. The beds are comfortable, and the atmosphere is cozy
Save for two great servers at the Gold lounge, our experience fell short of expectations. No one was particularly hospitable, which is disappointing considering the incredible reputation the Fairmont has; the concierge on the main floor and Gold lounge was not helpful when asking about resort amenities, the front desk when we arrived was cold, and the server at the restaurant didn't even introduce herself to us. All in all, not worth the money.
We stayed at the Gold level, with access to the Concierge Lounge. We especially enjoyed the breakfast there––best of any Fairmont CL we've experienced. Gorgeous hotel, magnificent setting, wonderful staff.
I was booked in the Fairmont Chateau for the week of UBCM. On a map, it looked to be quite a distance from the Conference Centre, but in reality, just a 12 - 15-minute walk. I left my car in the secure underground parking and walked EVERYWHERE because all the places I had to be were just minutes away. I was lucky enough to get a corner room on the 4th floor. I don't know if the corner rooms are bigger or not, but I quite liked the layout. The shower stall in the bathroom was a bit cramped, but I appreciated the gooseneck shower wand and the rain head. A light inside the shower stall was also a nice touch. Any staff I encountered here was very pleasant and I found the building easy to get around. The path out the back lobby door was helpful in walking trips downtown as was the on-site restaurant. A bit pricey all around, but it is a resort community. In all, I really liked staying here. Thank you!…
