I have had the pleasure of saying at the James bay Inn many times and each time was very nice. It is located very close to everything and the desk clerks are knowledgable and very helpful. Their prices are reasonable and most of the rooms are a good size. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Having stayed in queen twin room 105 for three nights, we left feeling rested, relaxed and contented. Having flown from Australia, Stephen's welcome was warm, the room was quiet and spacious and the beds very comfortable. Wi- fi was appreciated as was the suggestion to eat in the pub and also the cafe downstairs. The discounts were appreciated. In both,...

We stayed in the cottage on Marifield Road. The cottage has sleeping accommodations for six with two separate bedrooms and one queen sized hide-a-bed. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, if you need them. Large dining room and living room. One bathroom with tub/shower. All new windows help sound-proof the building from any street noise which there is...

My husband and I stayed here for a one-night getaway from Vancouver. Loved the location, walking distance from the BC museum and downtown. Plus set in the cutest neighborhood with horse drawn carriages clip-clopping by. The room itself was pretty plain. It looked like it had been remodeled sort of piecemeal, but I don't necessarily mind quirky. The room was...

James Bay Inn is a perfect place to stay in Victorian Victoria. The rooms are all different, including a bedroom/kitchen room in an adjacent cottage. There is a fine restaurant and pub. Evidently, the locals like it. The darts were flying in the pub (at the dart board) and mothers were gathering for Mothers' Day in the restaurant. The Inn...

Very nice old style hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They have coffee/milk/tea to everyone in the morning, even when you don't buy their breakfast. It is in a good area of Victoria, walking distance from downtown. My room didn't have refrigerator, but it was not at all an issue. I would come back for sure.

This is my third stay! This time I rented the sun deck suite. It was great to cook supper and sit on the deck in the sun. Clean and close to groceries, downtown and the ocean. Parking is always available.

I stayed here for just one Saturday night as a single, I picked it for the price and location. It was a great place, it turned out. It was in the James Bay Village, which is residential and quiet, even though it's just 3 blocks from the Harbor and downtown. It's really close to Beacon Hill Park, which no one...

This property certainly has an old heritage vibe to it and of course it is dated but even older properties can have some updates that don't alter the look and feel of heritage. My room was small but clean and very basic. Bathroom was very clean So for the room I stayed in you got nothing more or less than...

Yes, this is a lovely old Inn and yes it is in a most desirable location, but there were some amenities that we felt were missing from a hotel at this price point. There was no hair dryer in the room.. When I inquired at the front desk, I was given one to take back to the room. There was...
