We spent a couple nights in Vancouver and our stay at Opus helped us make the best of a short weekend visit. The hotel is located right across the street from the Yaletown Roundhouse which offers direct Canada Line train service to the airport - super convenient (about 30 min). False Creek is a couple blocks south of the hotel...

The hotel you choose can make or break a vacation and I find that Opus actually makes me want to go back to Vancouver more often just to stay in the hotel! The rooms are clean and large - we stayed in a deluxe courtyard room; the bed is immensely comfortable; and the bathroom is spacious and has a heated...

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Opus over a long weekend. It was our last chance to get away before becoming parents and it was well worth the trip. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect being next to the water and so many restaurant options. I...

Surprises abounded from the Prosecco at check in to the espresso machine in my room that made the best hotel coffee I've ever had hands down. Beautiful, comfortable, convenient and not over the top wasteful.

Great location. Got upgraded to a suite for free on check in. Given a glass of prosecco on check in. Rooms were really nice. Floor to ceiling windows everywhere. Street noise was a little noisy at night. They have a hopping bar downstairs. Didn't bother me but could be a pain for people who are light sleepers. Breakfast was simple...

What a great hotel. Lovely spacious rooms, comfy beds and I really enjoyed the under floor heating in the bathroom. Breakfast is served in the bar area, fresh fruit, great granola and warm pastries. The adjoining restaurant is a treat with a very good chef that creates wonderful Italian dishes. Above all, the team are really efficient, friendly and helpful....

First 30m in the hotel...Exquisite interaction with the Front Desk staff, light, personal, and comical. OH, and I walked away with a glass of sparkling wine! Rooms are very comfortable and while not massive as it is a boutique hotel they are more than adequate. Location is excellent to transit, travel to and from airport, business, and restaurants and shopping. Continental breakfast is very good and beyond just muffins and coffee.

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.

“We requested a higher floor room away from the elevators. Yaletown is a busy part of downtown and the higher floor cut down on the street noise as did the bathroom which is smartly placed between the bedroom and the street side windows.”

“Liked the recycling bin.. if it's actually sent for recycling. Would have liked to be able to tell housekeeping they didn't have to change my linens and towels every day. Every little bit helps! You should get a sustainability expert to direct you on much more sustainable practices... or a marketing person that toots your horn! ”
