At the hotel for 2 nights. I use a walker. The only way to enter or leave the hotel is in the breezeway drop off. The sidewalk along the hotel from either Burrard or Hornby was not accessible. I had to walk down the driveway with the vehicles before I found an accessible access to the sidewalk.
Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is in a great location to explore the main part of Vancouver, most of the staff we interacted with where excellent, but the lady on reception when we arrive around 8am after a flight from Hawaii was has helpul as nothing, told us our room was cancelled due to a no show, which just landed on time on the correct date, tired after an over night flight, not happy. The room that was found for us was not cleaned properly dust everywhere.
I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. It was superb. The hotel is old but elegant. Centrally located. Rooms are spotless and my COVID fear disappeared quickly. I felt safe in every way. The staff are the best: helpful, friendly. Hotel restaurant was very good. Breakfast buffet was perfect with health precautions obvious. Whew! Dinner was excellent. Old fashioned roast beef with Yorkshire hit the spot. The Notch8 bread is over the top. So glad I stayed there. Couldn’t be better.
This hotel is a busy hotel. There are designer shops in the lobby and a covid test station in the lower floor. Check in was quick and efficient. We asked for a quite location and this was met. However, the room next to us had guests who had a drunken argument which carried on until 4 a.m. We asked the next morning to be moved but as they had checked out we were offered a complimentary breakfast. Thank you - would have rather had a good nights sleep. Close to bus stops and 6 blocks away from the harbour front for cruises.
After the Four Seasons shut down we have started using this place for our downtown Vancouver get aways. Very good booking agent got us into the Gold level service package. Very good value. The food and beverages available make it a no brainer for our next stay. We got an awesome corner room with a great view. Staff here is always very professional and friendly. I’m just killing time before we check out and head to the ferry. Will certainly be back.
We experienced truly superior customer service at the front desk, at the concierge desk, in-room dining and in the lobby restaurant. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We appreciated how convenient and safe it was to walk to/from Stanley Park, nearby restaurants, and the happenings in Center Centre.
The day before being quarantined for 5 days, I enjoyed the hotel’s convenient location to surrounding attractions. The hotel has many shops, services and a very good restaurant. However, the day before departure I tested positive for Covid-19. The hotel manager was notified and I was informed of quarantine protocols. Throughout my stay the manager and staff were exemplary in service and concern for my well-being. Although confined, my room was adequately comfortable.
My husband and I stayed here 4 nights over our honeymoon and were so impressed by the attentiveness and dedication of the professional and friendly staff (including the hotel's canine ambassadors, Elly and Ella). When we discovered our travel agent booked our Butchart Garden tour for the wrong day, the concierge, Debbie, was so kind and helpful in getting things rearranged for us. She waved her magic wand and fixed everything! She was exceedingly charming and friendly too. All the staff were really impressive in their willingness to go the extra mile. We stayed in a king room which was beautiful, spacious, and incredibly clean. If you like old-school elegance with a modern, updated flare, you'll love this place! Upon check in, we were given a congratulatory card and 4 free drink vouchers for our honeymoon. Our second night, we had dinner at Notch 8, the hotel's cozy and chic restaurant. The food was incredible and our server, Raluca, was so bubbly and fun to talk to. We had such a great time!…
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean with a lovely view. We were on the 10th floor. Good location to many restaurants which were a short walk from the hotel. Lots of stores for shopping.
Arrived late from the train after a long day of travel…but we were put in a lovely room for our two night stay. And such a convenient location to get out and walk around the city. Staff very pleasant and accommodating. Will make the choice of staying here again on another visit to Vancouver.
