The Meridian is The Place to Stay in Vancouver. A heartbeat away from Granville Island and all the funkiness that it offers, and just as close, the vibrant downtown, the Meridian offers both, while maintaining a quiet peaceful oasis between both. A real gem. Shopping for supplies is just next door.

The low-end suite provides bedroom, kitchen, and living room functionality all in one large room. An additional room could be used for dining or work. However, the large window between the separate room make the separation slightly pointless. Furnishings are dated. The blanket a bit thin. However, everything is clean and in working order. Although I didn't fully use the...

After a fourteen year absence I returned to this hotel during a recent visit to Vancouver; I wasn’t disappointed in what I found. The same high standards are still in place just as they were years ago when I stayed here. The bachelor suite I stayed in during this visit was very clean throughout and refreshed daily by the friendly...

Booked to stay at the Meredian Apartments and stayed in a junior suite. Pros 1. Location is great if you are looking to stay near the water with the aquabus to Granville and other stops within a stone's throw. 2. Davies street, Granville street, Robson street etc. are about 10 minutes to 20 minutes walk away (uphill) 3. It is...

As a former Vancouverite, I choose this well appointed, cozy apartment hotel on all my visits. This carefully nurtured gem is located in an ideal spot in the heart of Vancouver, yet away from traffic and parking congestion. A stone's throw from the short ferry ride to Granville Island and easy walking access to vibrant downtown, Sunset Beach and English...

The Meridian apartments at 910 Beach is located close to the waters between the Granville and Burrard Bridges. The Ferry stop is barely 100 meters from the apartment. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores nearby. However, if one wants to visit Downtown then it is a tedious climb uphill. Every time I headed to the prime areas of...

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments and it had everything we needed. A well kitted out kitchen, washer and dryer, 2 bathrooms and WI-FI. The apartment is in an amazing location with easy access to the False Creek ferries, if you want to go to Granville Island and it’s only a leisurely walk away from Sunset Beach....

Situated across the water from Granville Island - with a water taxi stop literally steps away - for $7.00 return you can come and go as you please, with the best public market on Granville that you will find anywhere in North America, and fabulous restaurants and bars. The property itself is a collection of different sized apartments, with bedroom(s),...

I hesitate to write this review since word will get out but this is seriously a great place to stay in Vancouver. I needed a place that had parking which can be challenging to find and I was looking for something that was centrally located between Granville Island and Stanley Park, the main places I wanted to go while in...

Great hotel with kitchen facilities and a washer and dryer. Easy walking distance to all popular sights, but particularly good for Granville Island and English Bay. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Helpful reception staff who were very tolerant of jetlagged English who couldn't remember Pin numbers!

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
