Visited this hostel with a tour group. Arrived at 8pm and the check in process was terrible. No keys out ready, nothing. The people who hasn't paid yet were given priority which made no sense. The check in staff weren't too helpful with how to visit the restaurant areas and their cafe closed at 8pm which is poor considering places...

I guess this place before was a military base, so is super spread out so maybe difficult to stay always with people public areas are many and those are located in 3 floors. I mean that s a nice place huge, there is space, but is not a typical hostel with one common area and everybody is meeting there!! It...

The only reason I stayed at this hostel is because all the others in Vancouver were full. I wasn't too thrilled about being so fast from downtown but really like the location. It's just a couple minutes from the beach that gives you a view of the whole city. It's also a lot cleaner and has less homeless people in...

This place is idyllic. Very quiet and situated near the beach and some lovely parks. Dorms are spacious, well lit and clean. The hostel is kind of isolated but stores and transports are available within a 15 minutes walk. Friendly and helpful staff. Staying there was like a dream.

I could easily spend more time here. The Hostel is a great place to hang out. I wish they would do something about the parking though. Great Wifi, great staff. Huge kitchen. The 2 nights, I spent here, it was booked up. I waited too late to book a third night. :(. It is close to the beaches, but I...

The Hostel may be located a bit far from the nightlife and main downtown area but it has great public transit access, picturesque locale of Jericho beach and will help you to explore the Kitslano neighborhood. Not sure of origin, but felt like old army barracks! Kept very clean, although Hostel felt a little short staffed. One great gem of...

Spent our last days in Canada at Jericho Beach. As we've been to downtown many times, we were looking forward to some quietness and peace. Rooms, bathroom and kitchen are very specious and clean. The 16 bed co-ed doorm was great. We were there with 3 other couples (4 beds in each section. Therefore we had a section for ourselves)...

Stayed here with my boyfriend for just 2 nights as we were starting our bicycle tour down the pacific coast! We stayed in a bunk room which if it was full would have been a lot but we had a whole area all to ourselves which was great. the bathrooms were close and clean. and there was a huge kitchen...

Staying in West Point Grey

Neighbourhood Profile
West Point Grey
West Point Grey is one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, especially known for its easygoing and admired beachfronts. Locals crowd the Spanish Banks and Jericho Beach, especially in the summer, where a sprawling view of the English Bay awaits. The central village is an oasis of sovereign shops, many of them in local operation for years. The neighbourhood has a more personal feeling to it, and can be a wonderful and much-needed break from the bustle of big-city life, being a little haven of peace and quiet with an almost village temperament in the heart of Vancouver.
