I enjoyed my 2 night stay.I upgraded to a room with a private bath and shower which was nicer than the shared rooms. The room was quite small but tidy, and the bed was quite comfortable. I was happy with the proximity to Robson street and the shopping and restaurants. Not somewhere to stay if you are looking for glitz amd glam...

We will definitely stay here again. We loved the coziness, breakfast, staff & the proximity to restaurants, parking, church, sites & the Hudson's Bay store. We chose to have a room with bathroom facilities, & were pleased with this. The room was quiet & met our expectations.

Good beds, good maps, good location and good old Fred, who actually remembered my late mother who stayed here religiously. She liked it even before they installed the elevator. And the adjacent pub is just great too!

The room was nice and had its own bathroom which was a plus however, it was end of May and because they had a warm weather week the prior week, they turned off the heat for the season. The entire week I was there was cloudy and cold and the room was freezing and they would not turn it back...

This was my second stay at the Kingston. Again the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient and the hotel is affordable. The place has charm too. I stayed in a single room that was just perfect - the larger rooms look nice too. Free Wi-Fi and a pleasant breakfast. Definitely a...

The hotel is located at a great location, great staff, clean and well maintained. However, it's important to know that the breakfast is extremely simple (bread and coffee only), the sink is part of the dorm (that is, it's not inside the washroom, it's close to your bed!) and you should note that they have the option of using a...

Kingston is in a very good location. You can easy to go by skytrain and bus. Many shopping centers is nearby. Statffs are very helpful. the room is very clean. Only the breakfast is the same everyday. If there are variety of food, It will be very nice. But it is reasonable price.

The hotel was basic but clean, quiet and and was in a great location for Gastown. The room was very small and had no TV but we'd rather spend our money on going out and seeing things so this was fine for us.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
