This was a trip to get away and just relax, check in was much to be desired as we asked to have a manager contact us and never received any follow up to our concerns. Charging for things that were unreasonable to staying versed what they advertised as included. If you want to get ripped off then take a chance on this place.
The hotel is in a decent area & has an ok view. The suite was well laid out but needs updating. Also, it would have been nice having the DVD player in the bedroom & not in the living room area. I thought we were overcharged using our timeshare points, parking fee, housekeeping fee...I could have paid far less overall at a nicer hotel.
We stayed here for a week on a timeshare exchange. The location is just wonderful. The front desk staff were nice. However, when we asked for shampoo, the front desk refused this because we were timeshare guests. We had to go out to get shampoo. This is a ridiculous policy! Especially during the COVID 19 period. I have never in all my years of travel or dealings with timeshares experienced anything like this. We felt so unwelcome. Also the TV had a weak signal and we couldn't watch TV! NO! i would not recommend this hotel to anyone. DO NOT EXCHANGE HERE!
The hotel needs lots of room upgrades. It looked like it was from the 80s. The room was very very big. Had a full living room area, kitchen and separate bedroom. The location was good in Yaletown. Close to restaurants and bars. Good stay depending on what you are looking for.
I just completed my mandatory self-isolation period at the Rosedale after returning to Canada during the COVID19 international escalation. As I don't actually have accommodation in Vancouver, where I 'live,' I had a difficult time finding anywhere that would take me in given the international travel I had just done to get home. I am forever grateful to the staff at this hotel. They welcomed me with open arms, and made sure I was comfortable and taken care of all-throughout my stay. The apartment I stayed in was simple, clean, and overall very nice. The balcony & view of the city was my saving grace during the quarantine, as was the small kitchenette where I was able to cook my own food. To all the staff, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone I know.…
