Stayed in Room 3 (on my own) and Room 6 (basement suite with my husband and two kids- age 2 and 7). Rooms were lovely, well appointed, comfortable beds. The Inn is ideally located close to Stanley Park. We rented some bikes close by and had a great afternoon biking the sea wall around the park. Everyone at the Inn...

We booked room 2 for our first 2 nights in Vancouver. Our bedroom was a good size with a very very comfy bed and a good sized ensuite shower room with plenty of room to move around. The B&B is in a great location as it is one block from English Bay beach and the same from Stanley park, so...

Stayed at the English Bay Inn for 2 nights at the start of our trip to BC. Great location, kind staff, fantastic breakfast fare and clean rooms. The room we had was somewhat small and "cozy" but full marks for everything else.

Booked the English Bay Inn as the first 2 nights of our North American holiday and it got us of to a fantastic start. Nestled amongst multi-storey apartment complexes English Bay seems out of place but my goodness is it a beautiful place to stay. We were late getting in due to delays with our flight but the directions and...

I had the most wonderful experience staying at the English Bay Inn during my time in Vancouver. The location was perfect with close proximity to beautiful English Bay and Stanley Park. Whilst it was a good walk to the Downtown area, it was easy to navigate and a lovely way to see the city. The area felt safe and was...

Wow the breakfasts were an absolute highlight, Alberto and his team make you feel so welcomed. Nothing is too much trouble and each day we had something totally new and equally excellent for breakfast. Frankly I'd come back for the breakfasts alone! When on a long trip it's a real haven from the normal hotel scene and is centrally located....

My husband and I are staying here before departing on a cruise. We almost don't want to leave. It has so much character and the location is perfect for walking to so many places. The owner and staff are so friendly and helpful that we definitely have felt pampered. And last but not least, the breakfast prepared by Alberto et...

We were looking for a reasonably-priced hotel in central Vancouver and couldn't find one that didn't charge $30 per day for parking. Then we came across the English Bay Inn. It's about one block from Stanley Park and English Bay. We had a beautiful queen size bed and comfortable bathroom with tub and shower. Parking was included in the reasonable...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
