Fabulous hotel. Great location. Excellent price. It doesn't matter that the bathrooms are down the corridor as there are plenty for everyone. The room was clean and refreshed the next day. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We booked based on a good price. We were so happy with the location. A safe quiet area just next to Stanley park and the waterfront English Bay Area and one street away from a great selection of over forty different restaurants and bars with a good atmosphere. Free coffee and a great large lounge area. Exceptionally clean building. Very...

Great location and very comfortable. Used it for a 5 day business trip and it was ideal, close to the downtown and parks, very nice and clean rooms, and the staff was friendly. great for a short business trip as I had.

Perfect for a quick stay in Vancouver. I had a day to kill and wanted to be near Stanley Park and the ocean, and this was perfect for just that. Even though there was no washroom in my room, there were always private stalls available to use, and having a sink and vanity in the room was a useful bonus...

Room was not like on photos. Bathroom was super tiny that you can barely fit there and it was smelling pretty bad. Hotel maids was super noisy starting from 5 AM. Building in general is very old and you can see pilled paint in rooms.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry we didn't live up to our reputation during your stay with us, I do apologize. I know in the winter months we can sometimes get stuffy in the rooms, one of the drawbacks of a century old building. I do apologize for the noise, it wasn't our housekeeping staff however, they start at...

There are many fine and casual restaurants nearby. It is close to useful bus routes. Stanley Park is only a ten minute walk away. Very reasonably priced. Haro is a quiet street. We very much enjoyed a two night stay.

Good stay. Very nice people there. Room (with bathroom) is enough for a short stay. Clean and confortable. Free coffee and tea all day long at lobby. But a little bit noisy because of very thin walls... depending on your neighbors, it may be very difficult to rest and sleep. Bed is a little bit hard. But I recommend this...

This hotel has so much--a quiet street, good location, close to my family, Stanley Park, the beaches, and interesting shopping. My room was very comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. Especially enjoyed waking up to the calls of crows, gulls, and Canada geese--close to downtown Vancouver!

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
