I basically picked this hotel because it was in a central location DT and offered good value based on the price. The lobby is nice but that's about it. The rooms seem like they are stuck in the 90s. They are severely outdated and are in need of a refresh. If you're on a budget, then this is a good...

Large clean rooms and friendly staff. Great location and within walking distance to shopping and main attractions downtown. Restaurant was excellent! From taste to presentation, very impressed! Only problem was brown "stuff" coming from the bathroom faucet. Alerted the staff and they are looking into it.

Another example of a hotel that uses its name and location to gouge its customers. Old, dated rooms are ignored while prices to stay in them are not. Staff were nice. Room service food was terrible. My wife and I love the Stay-cation and will continue to do so. It won't be at hotels like this. Update your rooms to...

The room is larger than most allowing one to really spread out if you want. The kingsize bed was pleasant unexpected surprise. For a small galley kitchen well equipped for a variety of food prep. the shower is a large 3'x4'(estimated) walk with nice room for movement. On the down side the single pane windows allow too much heat loss...

Hotel was nice. Staff were excellent. Good value. The breakfast was fantastic. The only thing that kind of bothered me is that I was led to believe that the hotel was so booked up that the only rooms available were pet friendly rooms. The room was fine but the smell of dog/cat was unpleasant. Also the dog barking next door...

Although an older accomadation, the value in size, location, and especially in service, make it great! First time travelling with a baby, having the space and amenities was wonderful! Thank you very much

Drove from Sun Peaks to Vancouver on the last leg of our Rockies road trip. The weather was terrible for the last 50km and I am thankful for sat nav as I would never have found this hotel without it (it was a Saturday and there was road closures too). The location of the hotel is great in a downtown...

The hotel is well appointed. Close walking distance to all parts of downtown for movies, eating and shopping. Rooms nice and clean. A little loud in evenings with sirens but that is all the City adventure

I booked this hotel last minute. The only room available at the time was a 2 bed room, but I was traveling solo. My main reason why I chose this hotel was the location, price and other reviews. Its a little dated, but very accommodating with a nice cafe and restaurant. I checked in and the receptionist found a 1...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
