The hotel is located on the edge of the city and is walking distance to lots of restaurants and public transport. The rooms are a very generous size and the amenities are very good. For the money, this hotel is fantastic value! It provided everything you need to have a comfortable stay. For breakfast, we ate at Cora's next door which was also very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
My daughter and I stayed one night at the Barclay. The room needs updating in the decor department. Beds were ok. While sitting watching TV my daughter thought she spotted something running accross the room. It disappeared until we were sleeping. She woke up to see a mouse in between the two beds, by the desk, then scurried out under the door to the hallway. Hotel staff was notified in the morning after we checked out and all he could say was I'm so sorry. Nothing else was said or done. I will never stay there again or recommend it to anyone.
Quaint hotel in Vancouver. Really enjoyed my stay here. Staff were lovely and check in and check out was a breeze. Room was a a decent size as was the bathroom. Serviced daily. A window that you could open to let some fresh air in. It is an older hotel so no elevator so it’s a bit hard taking your luggage up and down the stairs. But it had the most wonderful chandeliers throughout. There was no fridge, microwave or coffee machine but there was a great little place to eat breakfast right next door. Bus stop a short walk down the road. Lots of eateries and shops within walking distance as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Stayed here for 1 night following a cruise. Its a good location with lots around you. Reception staff were great and we were able to check in early. Very large room with two double beds. Very clean but basic. We were on the 4th floor but there is no lift, not ideal when you have luggage! To get hot water, we had to leave the bath running for ages before changing it to the shower.
Decent hotel with great location. Vancouver isnt a cheap town so this hotel is ok for its money. Booked early so even better.A bit worn rooms but comfy beds. No elevator but only three floor so ok.very helpful reception staff and no problems with checkout 12 instead of 11 or storting luggade for a couple of hours and so on. Great restaurants and shops nearby and close to ocean promenade and stuff.
