This hotel is surprisingly nice. Each room has a nice little balcony so you can get some fresh air. The views are great from the upper floors. The location is fantastic, with excellent restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk, in a very colourful and fun neighborhood. If you spend a bit extra, you can book the 'penthouse jacuzzi suites' which...

Booked this hotel thru a third party site and was quite disappointed. If you wish to enjoy yourself in Vancouver, this may not be the hotel for you. The pictures on the site definitely did not serve justice; the room I got was smaller than shown in picture. With that being said, I worked with what was provided being that...

I do not have any major complaints about this hotel, except that it is a little old. The heating system can use some upgrade (it's either too hot or too cold). The decor and furniture are dated. The TVs can be upgraded to flat screen. I like the convenience of a kitchenette and the in-room washer dryer. The rooms were...

The Sandman Suites on Davie is in a good location to English Bay. Close to a lot of good restaurants short walk down to English Bay. The rooms are a bit tired and could use a lick of paint and new bedding, but they are clean. The staff were very friendly. If you can, ask for upper floor rooms.

I decided to treat my boyfriend to a weekend downtown and decided to stay at the sandman hotel on the Davie for the great price and location. Check in was a breeze, no problems there. We also had a car and self parked it down in their gated garage which was quite convenient because the elevtators from the garage went...

We booked this hotel for a short stay. we are not very picky when it comes to hotels, mostly we just need a place to crash on the way to our adventures. we in no way expect or need to be "pampered" but we do expect to be treated like guests. hotel in a great location close to restaurants and...

i was accidently locked out of my room in the middle of the night. My boyfriend is an incredibly hard sleeper. I tried to call up to the room with no luck. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. I was disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. I would like to apologize for not being granted access to your boyfriend’s hotel room for an unacceptably long time, and can certainly understand your disappointment and frustrations. We stayed 2 nights here before a tour across Canada. The location was perfect for us. Restaurants, bars and cafes right outside the door. Big spacious suite complete with washer /dryer, fridge, dishwasher and stove. Lovely view from 19th floor. Pleasant walk to river. Would definitely stay here again!

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
