I booked 1 night stay, Saturday, with my husband and step kids. It was nice the room has a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. We did bring some beverages and popcorn to pop in the microwave. We stayed in room 1409 with a view of construction we wondered what view would look like when it’s completed. The room looked recently renovated and I liked 1/2 the room was uncarpeted. Also found the room had both Bible and Book of Mormons which was interesting. The pool is opened and you need to book a time slot upon checking in. For breakfast the next morning it is continental and 1 person from your room to come down as food is packaged and they provide a bag to carry the food back to your room to enjoy. The area is quiet and I appreciate now hearing sirens throughout the night when I stayed at a hotel closer to the hospital. I do love using that Bonvoy app to check in which my keys were already made upon checking in. As well I contacted front desk through the app rather than using the hotel phone. Parking is $26 per day which lets you park until the next day until 6pm. All in all, it was a nice stay and would consider again on the future. …
I spent six days here and it was just as nice as the last time. I booked it for the sole purpose of having a kitchen to make my own meals and on-site laundry, but I actually didn't need to use the latter. I had requested an early check-in on my Bonvoy account and a higher floor, both of which was given to me. All of the employees that I met were so friendly and one gentleman I even remembered from my visit before so we had a very nice chat to catch-up a little. They have all the necessary measures in place to feel safe during this pandemic and what I really liked was that I needed to use my room card to even get into the lobby and also for the elevators---double security. Obviously the breakfast had to be modified due to the pandemic but with my own little kitchen I made my own. I am glad as well because there was a large team of construction workers staying on-site and they were lining up right when the items were placed out---I went to the Timmies around the corner for coffee and would see them bright and early in the am. Mind now, they kept to themselves and were no hassle but the placement of the breakfast items was in such a small enclosed area, that was the only element that made me pause about the Covid safety which is why I did not bother to check to see what was laid out. The room I had was close to the top, identical to my last time there, facing East with a balcony. One other little mention and this would be for anyone with allergies. The cleaners that were being used I think were of some type of industrial grade--hence, a very strong left-over smell. Each day I had to pop my door open to get my room aired out and after a day my room was not so bad but it still lingered. Thankfully, there was no daily cleaning, so I was able to breathe a bit better after the first day. The little drawbacks were very minor and definitely this would always be my hotel of choice when visiting Vancouver again.…
Overall an average stay. Room needs updates...it's been a while since I have been to a Marriot hotel that doesn't have USB ports for charging. The internet is very slow and unusable, even if the hotel was nowhere near capacity. Even tried another room, still slow. Because of this, I checked out at an earlier date. Kitchenette is well equipped. Parking is $33 daily.
Amazing spacious rooms, comfy beds, good blackout curtains, the asian ladies who work the front desk are very friendly! Clean rooms! Good wifi! I was impressed by the asian lady working the afternoon shift 3-11pm, she is very friendly and went our of her way to make our stay enjoyable! 7 eleven across the street! Skytrain to airport 10 min away by walk! Lots food and bar options! In davie village starbucks 10 min away! Love this hotel; the rooms have fridge, microwace and stove! Miss the popcorns in the room! No more popcorns are in the room anymore!
Recently stayed over a 4 week period for business. Great location to base from while respecting self-quarantine rules and maintaining proper social distancing. Hotel staff has excellent procedures in place for dealing with Covid pandemic conditions. Room was welcoming, clean and fully satisfactory for a longer stay. The kitchen and balcony are a big plus! General Manager Susan Fregona and her great team including John-Paul Yu are a pleasure to deal with, as well as being flexible and accommodating during the current situation. I highly recommend this destination for future stays!
