A microwave would be a nice addition to the rooms otherwise it's a fairly nice and affordable place. Make it pet friendly and I would stay there every time I visit which is quite often. Friendly staff though.

Excellent location. The staff was also very accommodating and helpful. The room had everything that was needed. The price was very good and I would encourage anyone with a family to check this place out.

August 2016 I had a room with private bathroom, nice and clean. The room wasn't big, but just enough to stay for a night. $95 per night - is a good option for the busy season in Vancouver. They also have a special rate for seniors (60+) Great location - near Robson street (where you can find shopping and many...

We recently stayed one night at the YWCA, I booked & prepaid before our stay via hotels.com. I have email confirmation to prove this. When we checked in on February 10th my credit card was charged with out my knowledge or approval. I did not realize until I checked my credit card statement three weeks later. I called the hotel...

I was very happy with my stay at the YWCA Hotel. I had a small room with a private bath. My room way clean, comfortable, quiet, and even had amenities I wasn't expecting, like a TV, free WiFi, and small fridge in the room. An excellent location for exploring Vancouver, I was glad to call this my home base during...

I was lucky to get a room on short notice. Room was really clean. Simple small room, shared shower/toilet, smallish double bed, no bathtub, large screen TV with lots of channels Small operating fridge, good WiFi, friendly front desk 1 1/2 blocks from a Skytrain station, close to bus routes. They have figured out what I actually NEED for a...

Stayed once again at the YWCA downtown Vancouver. Great location and awesome staff who are so helpful! I usually book a room with a private bathroom but this trip they were sold out so I had to book a room with a shared bathroom. The only drawback I found to having a shared bathroom was the person in the other...

Clean, quiet, and our "twin" room actually had two doubles, nicely separated by a bulkhead so that we had some privacy. Great place to stay at a reasonable price. The coffee shop was open at 6:30 so we were able to get a coffee/tea and a snack before we left for the ferry.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
