A great place to lay your head at a reasonable price. Not too noisy, friendly helpful staff, close to lots of "stuff". We stayed here before a cruise, and it was a short ride to the cruise terminal. We also had a night after the cruise. There are many eating places close by, plus the Vancouver Art Gallery is a...

Great central location, very comfortable room and bed, really friendly staff, lovely ambience and atmosphere - a great place to stay in Vancouver CBD. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone - so close to transport hub and shops.

We visited Vancouver for 3 nights, and were very pleased with the hotel. It was within walking distance of many restaurants, stores, and sights. Public transportation was only two to three blocks away. There was a refrigerator in the room, and we had access to a full kitchen on our floor (plates and utensils were available to borrow). The price...

Visited Vancouver for a kpop concert and needed to stay somewhere downtown near the theater. Hotel was in a very good location, walking distance to Gastown, Robson (must try Japadog) and Richard streets ( lots of cute shops) and very close to public transportation, which is very easy to use by the way. The area and hotel itself was very...

Visited Vancouver for a school interview and to spend time with some friends. We booked a 5 person room with its own private shower. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and was very safe. Great location next to downtown Vancouver and near the stadium!

Stayed here for 3 days in a clean, reasonably sized room, with a very comfortable bed. We really appreciated the laundry facilities and the reception staff were always friendly and and happy to assist with directions as we explored the downtown area. Conveniently there is a small coffee shop and ATM in the foyer area. Great location within a 20...

As a single father I am always looking for good short stay away option and prospects for traveling with my son. From the moment I arrived I felt supported and the room was amazing. If you can get over the shared bathroom situation and realize you have excellent support, housekeeping and an amazing gym (albeit 10 minutes walk away) this...

Great location for Downtown Vancouver, we walked everywhere. Also close to a train station so easy to get to and from the airport which we found useful. Great quality for a budget hotel, would happily stay here again.

Vancouver is notoriously expensive. This YWCA is right downtown, within 10 minute walking distance to city centre train station and near lots of great eateries. You won't be able to find a better price in downtown Vancouver. The rooms are basic but has everything you need and are clean. Friendly staff.

Safe, friendly, clean, with amazing amenities. Kitchen, laundrette, fitness centre, coffee shop - and my room had a really comfortable bed, iron and ironing board, tv - and super-clean bathroom with everything in it. A great position in town, it was an oasis after sightseeing around Vancouver. I love the ethos of the YWCA too.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
