We had a really nice stay in this sweet and charming hotel. The staff both at check in and check out were very warm and friendly, and the very clean room was a pleasant surprise. With a sitting area and two double beds, we had more than enough room to stretch out and get comfortable. The beds were very comfortable....

I had an absolutely wonderful 4-night stay while attending a conference in Vancouver. This hotel shows its age, but mostly in a good way. I had a room with a king-sized bed and a private bath. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the tub was deep, the shower pressure was strong, the bathrobes supplied were plush and cozy, the room was...

Recently our son was married in Vancouver. He had arranged for out of town guests stay at the Victorian. The hotel was filled to the rim with wedding guests. My husband and I had planned a pre-wedding reception night for family and friends. The hotel was more than happy to oblige, letting us use the hospitality/breakfast room for people to...

We arrived on November 26th for a one night stay at Victorian. Finding a free parking spot for our car was nearly impossible, so we took a parking spot at the hotel for 20CAD a night. This will be offered if there are free spots. The rooms were already cleaned around 12, so we could check-in. The hotel is located...

Thank you for your review Maximilian W. I should point out that Downtown street parking is only free after 10:PM and it's a bit of a dice-roll. From my experience, one is much better off paying for the relative security of a patrolled or locked lot. That said, it's a free world and the choice is all yours. Hope to...

The Victorian Hotel is a Vancouver gem. The rooms are lovely!!! We had a room with a shared bath and it was great. I was a little worried that the bathroom would be far and there were three within steps of the room. The bathrooms were beautiful and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The location of the hotel was...

I was in Vancouver last Oct. for work. I kind of booked last minute and ended up in a not so posh area. However, I must say that the fair price, the kindness of the reception make it up for the weird smell in common area. I think it was the product used on the floor but I am not...

Hands down my favourite hotel in Vancouver. I love that you can call this hotel, get a friendly person at the front desk who will answer all your questions and then book a room for you cheaper than you would get using a third-party online site! I absolutely love this hotel. It is quaint, clean, close to everywhere you want...

The Superior King room was great--comfortable bed, plenty hot water, nice television, Internet. The breakfast worked, though it was limited. The staff was helpful and professional. It was a good deal for a hotel with character in the downtown area.

I've never been this quick to review a place but I loved Victorian Hotel. Close to Gastown, Chinatown, financial district, Seabus... The original fir floorboards and elegant mouldings, the high ceilings, I even had a window seat! Service was excellent and breakfast croissant was fantastic. I stole an extra one to take home. Sorry guys! I didn't find it noisy....

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
